I have been using this pharmacy for the past ten years as a local but I've just changed to another one as service has really gone downhill sadly which is a shame because this was in walking distance. My husband left a few years ago because the chemist kept giving him cheap imported medicine that was unbranded and even after telling them he can't have it for his serious medical condition they kept prescribing it. He went to another local chemist and has received brilliant service. When ever I go in they never have stuff available. I order things and it takes a week to arrive. I informed them I was about to run out of diabetic medicine and booked days in advance to make sure it lasted and then they didn't get any. Even after putting through another lot they still didn't get it out for delivery the next day and I had to ring to chase. Three different male pharmacists have been unprofessional and sound like they are from the ghetto with their slang language. One used to be constantly on his phone going back a few years, another one was friends with the local heroin user and they would stand chatting at the counter for ages while he took his methadone, and used the chemist phone to ring a dealer! The latest one seems like he's away with the fairies and bobs about before telling you your medicine still isn't in and he doesn't know why

The blood test ladies have been really nice but the old one said the boss was terrible and she hated working there..... Confirms what i wrote above!

They also don't carry emergency supplies yet the next nearest chemist was happy to dispense me some to get me to safe levels of insulin while I waited for them to get a prescription

Imperiun staff really have a don't care attitude and the phone is rarely answered. When it is the young lady is so miserable you can feel the vibe through the phone and the tone of her voice makes me feel like she doesn't like working there either

Glad I've moved but thought I'd enlighten anyone who might want to use this place. I'd avoid

I haven't used the rest of the pharmacy but I have regular blood tests there and the service is excellent. The lady is always polite and friendly, and the procedure is quick and efficient. Almost makes it a pleasure to have a needle stuck into my arm !

Just arrived for my second Covid booster , booked in for 9am first appointment prior to going to work.

I walked out when there were 8 others in the queue for the same time appointment.
I needed to be at work for 10am so could not wait.
I suppose they will blame the booking system but what a waste of my time!
Will try somewhere else Monday .

Attended for booster vaccine met by a very disinterested assistant shouted out the vaccine questions of which she missed a few out only realised as when she shouted the next person's questions out o hadn't been asked no privacy or respect when asked shall I take a seat. If you want was the reply vaccination was efficient enough mo vaccine proof no batch number said not giving proof any more so just have to hope it shows up on the app i would go elsewhere in the future place has really gone down hill

Today 29/07/21 @ 11.45am I arrived for my 11.50am blood test appointment, to be told by a rude service assistance, "there are no tests today. They have all been cancelled. You should of recieved a text!" To which I replied, "I'm sorry, I have not recieved any test messages advising my test has been cancelled." Service assistance, "The Phlebotomist is ill and in hospital." I asked, "Do you know when the next available appointment is?" Response I recieved, with shrug of the assistance's shoulders, "Don't know how long she will be in hospital...." No even an apology or any helpful words, but a shrug, can't be bothered attitude all whilst swigging from a pop can at the tills!!
I have used Monarch Pharmacy on many occassions, but today I found the attitude of this female assistance rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming. Had she taken the time to apologise and explain with maybe a little bit of empathy would of been effecient. Had I not been working from home, I would of taken time off from work to attend this appointment, and what a wasted journey that would of been. I have since booked my test with another pharmacy, who hopefully will show some professionalism!
