Pomfret Pharmacy

I wrote a review on the NHS site about my awful experience here. The management at Pomfret told the admin of the NHS site I was lying about my experience so they would take down my review.
The cashier was so rude asking information loudly about my father and why he gets his prescription for free, what's his disability and code? Everyone could hear and it was just so rude. How is that any of your business? You know what the codes are, why do I need to explain it to YOU? And to top it off they gave me the wrong medication and my mother had to go back immediately as my father needed it urgently. Absolutely shocking. She only tried to be vile to me because I am a young blonde girl it was pretty obvious how she abruptly spoke to me from the first moment I walked in, my partner said that before I even said it out loud. if I was older and not as polite she wouldn't have dared! Vile!

Excellent service and always go out of their way to help. I have used for a couple of years now and never had reason to complain.

Visited here with my son this morning. Three people behind the counter all chatting to each other about about the price of flowers!! I was the only customer in and it took 4 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. Then when I interrupted your none work related conversation you had the audacity to say with you in a minute and kept me waiting 3 more.

This place will be closed soon and I can see exactly why. Rude rude rude people. If you don’t like your job get a new one!!! Don’t take it out on your own customers.

A pharmacy that doesn't follow NHS guidance.. .not exactly what you want is it! My partner came in here a few weeks ago to drop off some medication that's no longer used. The lady who spoke to him was so rude and advised that they do not under any circumstances take medication back from people. When my partner advised that I had found details on the NHS website that said they have to take it she scoffed at him and told him I was wrong and that i clearly didnt know what i was talking about! He came back with the medication and I ended up ringing 111 to seek advice on what to do with it. The gentleman there advised that I was infact correct and that they should've taken the meds from him. Ended up going to another pharmacy who took them straight away and were amazed that another pharmacy had refused to take them, until I mentioned that it was Pomfret! We've changed our dispensary now so we don't need to deal with such snotty, incompetent staff!

So professional and efficient. The lovely lady with the glasses is such an asset to this pharmacy and one of the main reasons I choose to use this business. Customers are often not in the best shape when using a chemist and I know she makes people feel safe and know they’re in caring hands. Thank you for being so wonderful!

The staff here always treat me with respect and have gone out of their way to ensure my medication has been correct. Especially with having a dairy intolerance.
