Unfortunately I cannot agree with other reviews. After collecting my husband from the QE II Urgent Care Centre we needed the late night pharmacy so raced to Peartree with 10 minutes before the published closing time. It was all shut up but but I could see the pharmacist through the window so I called on the phone. He didn't answer so I knocked on the window and he came over and said they'd closed early. Very poor service when they're the closest pharmacy to the out of hours GP centre and people will need meds.

Despite being short staffed this pharmacy is still open late. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and I’m thankful to them for keeping their spirits up. During the height of the pandemic they found a way to keep their staff and customers safe by opening a window to the pharmacy which we all appreciated prior to the vaccinations.

I hate being a Karen but I wouldn’t want anyone to have the same experience. They get my prescription wrong every single month. They never ever pick up the phone- I had to go two days without my prescription because they wouldn’t answer the phone and I desperately needed them to release it due to not being able to get there. It’s so unfair to treat people like this and I will be using a different service from now on.

They tend to have paediatric antibiotics in stock that are out of stock in the big chains like Boots. Would always try them ahead of the big chains.

This pharmacy needs to be improved a great deal!! When attempting to acquire medications, that are on repeat, they refuse to preorder medication, only attempting to on the day it is due. Meaning I may receive what few they may have in stock, if any. Then begins the day/days of discomfort. This happens 19 out of 20 times, I have been due to collect. I sometimes think, they enjoy this tedious ritual that I am put through. There is never an apology only excuse’s. They never answer the phone, I think they switch it to silent, even when they’re not busy. Try calling them when you’re in there, you won’t hear it ringing. I often try to make contact by phone, I tried recently in mid summer, and they did have a succinct recording of their Christmas and new year opening times. Take the high-ish stars with a pinch of salt, someone gave 5 stars after stating they had only used the pharmacy once? Another said the doctors and nurses are nice, but it’s hard to get an appointment? That would be the doctors surgery next door then chap. Anyone that regularly, relies on PT pharmacy will have some sorry tales to tell. The one good point that busy people liked closing at 10pm & 11pm on Thursdays, has now stopped. They no longer open late. They close at 7pm.

Long queues outside in all weathers. Don’t believe advertised opening times either

Most of the staff are brilliant. One or two newer younger staff need a little guidance in patient communication and empathy.
The pharmacists are really helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and often go above and beyond to source specific products.
