Been to this pharmacy many times and never had a positive experience. Today I left feeling so fed up with the rude and careless attitude from the staff. I visited their store yesterday to collect a prescription which was emailed to them to find their internet was down so they couldn't receive my prescription .. I understood this but I still had no apology just a blunt explanation of what was happening I had to ask for advice on what to do and they just told me to come back later .. this wasn't unfortunately an option for me due to work so I came back the following day before picking my son up from playgroup to find they had no prescription under my name again they were blunt, unapologetic and really unhelpful on how to solve the situation. They made me feel like it was my fault which made me really uncomfortable in front of the rest of the customers in the store. I won't be visiting this store again.

Not really had a problem with the staff like the others, apart from one woman that gets really touchy, but they never have anything available, i always have to go elsewhere because they’re never stocked, and it can’t be because “it’s all run out” as it’s always dead when I get there and it’s always the same excuse, every time. Had to go a few days without eczema stuff for my two year old, when I explained to the woman about it and how he’s ripping his skin apart, her reply was “oh well” 💀

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Who manages this pharmacy . My 97 year old grandad had a fall yesterday in pontypool and unfortunately broke his wrist. This morning I thought it would be the courteous thing to do to ring the pharmacy and thank them for letting him stay there till my parents could get to him . But to no avail . They won't answer the DAM phone . I feel so sorry for the people of pontypool who have this as their pharmacy . How are they meant to get the help they need ?? I myself work in a local pharmacy and would never just ignore the phone or take it off the hook . I just cannot believe it .

First time taking a prescription into Pontypool lloyds, won't be using again unfriendly staff was told to "sit over there". Watched and listened to other customers come in while waiting for the prescription to be made up. Seems like the staff could do with customer services training.

I am virtually house bound and have spent 3 weeks trying to find out about my repeat prescription to no avail!.
Must have phoned up to 12 times a day, no reply! Once there was an answer phone saying it would not take messages and to call back! Horrendous lack of service.

After reading the other 2 reviews I am convinced it's the same woman with the terrible attitude! There is also a gentleman that has not got a clue what he is doing and I'm surprised they are still going, it's only a matter of time before one of these 2 make a big mistake. Avoid this place if you can, every single time we use this place there is a problem! Here is the latest example : my wife rang on a friday morning to ask them to order our repeat prescription for our 3month old baby (special baby milk) waited until tuesday 6pm to pop in and pick it up only to be told by a very rude woman that there was nothing here for us and I confronted her and said "every time I come here there is a problem" to which she replied why dont you start ordering it yourself then?.. that's her attitude, the next day I rang and asked if it had come in yet and the gentleman took 17mins to look and tell me that he cant find anything. I asked if he had any information that it was even ordered on the previous Friday he said how would I know.. so i said ok il ring the doctors to find out. My wife ended up walking the the doctors and they told her that it was picked up tuesday morning.. (its wednesday now) went back to Lloyd's and they had 3 of them looking mumbling and moaning then they came back and said oh it is here but it's not under your child's name it's under there initials.. I was gobsmacked that they couldn't have worked that out for themselves and they said oh it could have been anyone.. last time we will use this place. Unbelievable.

Some of the staff are really, really lovely.
It's my understanding that at the moment they are extremely short staffed and have a lot of temporary cover, I hope that they can get some full time staff in again as it must be really stressful for everyone involved.

Absolutely horrendous service from Lloyd's Pontypool. They do not answer the phone and if you keep ringing, they take the phone off the hook. I will be putting in a formal complaint
