Really knowledgeable family run pharmacist. Lovely staff who are very helpful. The photography section is superb with help and advice happily given.

My mother visited this store recently after months of shielding and has only recently been going to a few limited shops to get some presents. She has an acute medical condition that makes her exempt from wearing a face covering. She wears the government provideed badge & a hidden disabilities lardyard that explains her situation as she was afraid of any confrontation from members of the public. The staff member confronted her and told her she needed to cover her face. My mother explained that she was exempt but the staff member said she would need to get the manager. This obviously disturbed my mother and she promptly left, not wanting to cause problem. To me, this is a redicilous situation. There are people out there that for many reasons can't put on a mask for medical, physical & psychological reasons. Our humanity is being lost in all this fear, and as this is a chemist shop they should be fully aware of the exemption. Are you now going to refuse medication to anyone who comes to your store because the aren't wearing a face covering? This behaviour is discrimination. My mother used this store often pre pandemic. This situation has set her back months.

I would like to thank all at Shackleton for their help, l found myself isolated away from home but needed some meds, they were so helpful and made the situation workable, many thanks.

Stood in queue to hand in a prescription, 2 people came in after me, lady who works there with long dark hair completely ignored me and served the 2 people who came in after me because it appeared she knew them! She was rude

Exceptional. I cannot recommend them enough. They have gone above and beyond in providing preceptions to my elderly, vulnerable parents. The gentleman who delivers them is absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much, Shakletons!

Today i had a appointment to have my first Covid Jab as i was sat down a Disabled Man with a Mask Exemption Badge was asked to leave and wait outside... He was stunned as he stood there showing and telling the Young Lady that he was exempt from wearing one.... They insisted he waited outside. This in my Eyes is Blatant Discrimination.... So when i went in for my Jab I brought it up and asked if they always do this . The reply was yes , This did not sit right with me so I politely refused the Jab and told them i would go elsewhere...... This should not be happening in 2021. People have disabilities they cannot help being disabled..... I hope this Pharmacy wakes up to this FACT..... The Gentleman was clearly embarrassed.

Extremely helpful staff, we had forgotten something for my son and chanced a visit, even though they did not have the needed item they phoned Around and found it for us.
