Stonebow Centre Post Office

Far too small of a location for a growing city centre. The last three times I've been it's queued out of the door. The convenience store aspect is completely redundant due to the extortionate pricing, and the postage supplies such as padded envelopes have no marked prices. Even with the excessive queues there's very rarely enough staff on. They do their best but it's an impossible task under this management.

Was advised that the stamps I had on an envelope could not be taken off the price of a special delivery.

Totally wrong this can be done.

Also wanted another transaction done and was advised needed a form again totally wrong information

Would not recommend this post office as waste of your time

I don’t really trust this post office anymore because I sent in my passport and my passport photos am I adoption certificate and they’ve lost all of them and I’m not very happy with his post office and the way they’ve treated me because last time I went in they said our hands are tied so now I’ve lost £90 and I’ve lost my adoption certificate that I have to reapply for and I’m not happy at all about this company because it’s absolutely disgusting that they could do that to someone

For a main city centre post office it is tiny. It needs more counters and staff. Waited 25 minutes in a queue to post a letter requiring a signature at the delivery address. Only two counter staff who weren't very quick. If you can drive or get a bus to the Bracebridge Heath post office in their co-op it will be less time (including the journey) and a more pleasant experience.

the staff their is completely unhelpful. i received instruction email from home office that my BRP is available to collect, but i made 3 attempts to collect my BRP but they said it is there while actually it be there 3 weeks already. i travel an hour to get there so i kindly to ask the lady help me check again and she completely does not bother. she said she does not mind what is home office email me and refuse to double check. all ladies was very happy to chatting between them while they looking for the BRP envelop and they were not bother about all people who waiting outside under cold weather included babies and young children. They have a cup of tea on their hand and sit in cosy room.

As far as post offices go, Stonebow has to be one of the, if not the, worst in the country. The queue varies throughout the day but you should expect to wait atleast 40 minutes to an hour to get to the counter and another 10 or so minutes waiting for staff to serve you. Store is cluttered with useless junk, bottles of water (maybe incase you get thirsty whilst waiting?) and toilet paper sold at massively inflated prices for seemly no reason (does anyone ever come here to shop?). Staff are rude and bad-tempered (only shop in Lincoln where service is guaranteed with a scowl) and seem to lack basic customer service skills, think 'computer says no' but in a royal mail uniform. Store also is home to some of Lincoln's more... unrefined citizens who seem to make the long wait just that bit more unbearable. Never again, avoid at all costs, save yourself from a several hour long nightmare, really not sure how this place still has customers.

Absolutely shocking, unless you want a long wait and rude staff, walk up steep hill or get the park and ride bus from the other side of the road and use the bailgate or Burton road post office.

Opening time on google is not always accurate so drop a call before you go.

Place been low on staff since my arrival in 2021 so I guess ppl there work extra hard, cut them some slack.

Seen some harsh reviews but I think they get the job done.
