Todmorden Road Post Office

My Brother recently passed away and I contacted your bereavement team to arrange the closure of his account, they duly sent me the necessary forms etc.

I completed the forms and took them with the Death Certificate and my ID to my local branch, Todmorden Road Post Office, 17 Todmorden Rd, Burnley BB10 4AB on the 24th July

The postmaster informed me that he didn't have the necessary form but requested one in front of me and said that he would receive that form and complete the process by Wednesday the 25th July.

Having heard nothing I called them today to be told that they had not received the forms at all!

He clearly hasn't sent them and now at this trying time my family and I now have this additional stress to deal with as well as a 3-4 working day wait for new forms.

Totally unacceptable and unprofessional, we will be boycotting this branch from now on and would urge anybody else not to trust the staff there with anything important at all.

Would visit more often if the opening hours were less restrictive.. and if they opened on time.. always late.

Fairly efficient service but wouldn't say they were friendly. The inside has a lot of sparsely stocked shelves, I couldn't imagine buying anything here.

The areas around the cash machine and pillar box are filthy. A lot of the detritus is generated by discarded advice slips. I have complained to all of the staff but they say it's the Council's responsibility. Conclusion: they don't care about the experience of customers using these facilities. They can't be bothered to pick up a broom (although a shovel would be needed now).

Staff very helpul and friendly. Can be busy at certain times.

Supposed to be open today till 6 pm but its closed. Fix your working time so you don't confuse people and waste their time! Also infront is very dirty all the time!

Absolute terrible slow service it should be called a joke shop not a post office

Top notch staff and a great service every time. 2/5 stars average rating is massively unfair, probably due to the fact none of the happy customers think to rate their post office 😂 quality every time for me.

My sister has attempted to sent 2 cards (Xmas & birthday) to the Netherlands this year, neither arrived which makes me wonder if they ever made the postbox.
