Consistently understaffed - especially around midday, often only one person serving with very long queues. Self service machines turned off. Very long wait even if just dropping off post

Regularly long queues with only one till open. When you do actually get to see a staff member, they don't seem trained and are normally unable to help. Today I was told I couldn't buy a £1.85 stamp because they had a 'special' design (having queued for around 30 minutes). If you can find an alternative place for your post, I would save your time and money and avoid this place like the plague.

I would like to thank Rebecca who helped me with my missing parcel from DPD that they notified me as being ready to pick up even though they hadn’t. She really went out of her way for me . You rarely see good customer service these days so thank you 😄☺️

Staff terrible, unfriendly, unhelpful and uneducated. Their Machine rendered my return label invalid and they would do nothing for me except charge me for the return. Useless, incompetent staff.

Only one person working in the travel office. One person going along the line asking what people wanted. Rude staff poorly like WHSmiths! and very no helpful. Let you all know use the Post Office Branch nearest 30 High Street its help and quickly

Unsure about the location of our towns Post Office nowadays?
It is right at the back of WHSmiths and feels strange to be standing there to send parcels whilst in the middle of a shop.
When the PO was near Jubilee Square it could get extremely busy. Thankfully when I've visited at WHS it has been quiet but I imagine it could quite crowded in the shop if the post office counter is busy.
All that said, the counter staff are friendly, helpful and don't keep you waiting for long if they can help it.

All Young male staffs are incredibly unhelpful and rude as if public has forced them to work? 1 stars for rude male staffs! Please learn to respect your customers!

I have given 5 stars for all ladies staffs before and I am forever grateful for you! Hope these male staffs follow your footpath!

All Ladies staffs are amazing but these young males need more training to how to be kind to their customers!

A little bit understaffed today. Not sure if that's the norm, I felt sorry for the elderly lady next to me that was waiting for the one person at the counter whilst we had about 8 people in the queue. Eventually one of the staff did return, and the service then sped up - and I'll give the benefit of the doubt maybe the staff member is dual purpose or had to go to the toilet - but the experience felt a bit grim and this constant beep beep alarm was going off which only added to the annoyance. I'm patient, but not so patient when I have to listen to a loud alarm going beep beep intermittently every 10 seconds. I had a distinct feeling that they felt the post office part was a burden of some sort, especially the WHSmith worker that served me. It feels almost like the post office takes 10th fiddle to the rest of the store. The WHSmith itself is a nice layout but the post office experience ruins going there.
