Lavender Hill Post Office

I've been using this post office for years. Yes it gets busy at times (long queues, some manic staff) so I avoid peak times! All my parcels have been delivered and I always get assistance when I ask. The only reason I don't give them 5 star is that I've come across A COUPLE of staff who are a bit short fused because they can't handle the pressure when they are very busy. Better training to be done. Other staff are perfect!

Very poor customer service! I was there yesterday early afternoon to post few parcels. The 'gentleman' at the till 4 was serving me like he was doing me a favour... I said 'hello' but he ignored me, like everything I was trying to explain to him, because he was to busy SCROLLING ON HIS PHONE! I was posting 5 parcels and literally after processing every one of them he was going back to his phone. Very rude and of course took much longer than it supposed to. I Came back later to post another 2 parcels and purposely let another customer go first just not to be served by that guy but the one that ended up serving me that time wasn't much better... I'm definitely not going to use that branch again!

HORRIBLE customer service and a dirty cramped space. Queued out the door for about 25 minutes only to be spoken to aggressively by a rude female server when my turn came. I asked for a request politely only to be told "we are the post office and we do what we want." This post office is also dirty and dim and generally a horrible place to be. I've heard other horror stories about this branch, please avoid if you can. The place deserves to be shut down. There is NO reason to treat customers this way when they are being civil and polite and queue patiently.

I went there today and although the queue was really long and only 2 staff were there, it was a short wait and the lady who served me was really lovely and polite.

On two separate visits we ended up at the counter with a lady called Sandra serving us. She's very helpful when my son has had many small parcels going out to different locations. Her knowledge and patience is appreciated. It's a popular post office and the lines build up as there's only few workers at the windows serving customers, so patience is needed if arriving at busy times. Unfortunately the self service machines have been out of order on both visits that's my reason for not giving 5stars. If there was a member of staff located at working machines it would be a big help.

I went to collect my parcel yesterday and whilst I was waiting in the que, one member of staff asked me if I was there to deliver or pick up a parcel. I informed him that I was there to pick up the parcel and he told me that I should go next door,as the pick up is next door and not in the post office! Unfortunately it was close by the time that I arrived, so I came today to pick up my parcel. Sadly the gentleman informed me that my parcel is located in the post office and not on the pick up point and he was wondering why they sent me here from the post office.
Please make sure that you train your people properly and they gather more information before informing people as yesterday’s incident provoked further delays to a very important parcel
