Royal Mail Maidstone Delivery Office

I had a good experience with the staff as I came to collect a delivery I missed at mu address. First time of being in Maidstone Industrial Estate as well. Interesting place full of industries and lots of staff and activities.

Imagine you need to pick a location for a delivery centre in a relatively large town do you
a. Locate it near the town centre where everyone can get to it, whether by car, public transport or on foot
b. Locate it on the far edge of town, 2 miles from the town centre, even further for those of the other side of town and practically inaccessible to those without access to a car

Yes you've guessed it, it's b. Great move Royal Mail

I have just moved to Maidstone from London and I'm shocked at the service you get here. The postman doesn't even attempt to deliver parcels they just put the red card in your box instead. I stayed in all day for a parcel and they never even bothered to ring the bell!

Outrageous it's so far out of town
Zero thought for non drivers. £35 return taxi fare. I live 7 miles away.

The service basically doesn’t exist. You can stay home for 2 days to receive an item and on the 3rd day they’ll be passing without ringing the bell but filling your mailbox with flyers you specifically asked not to. With the strike they do the service even worst. I wouldn’t give not even a star if that’s possible

Shut the whole delivery office with no notice anywhere until you arrive. Not a strike day. Wasted 50 mins and the petrol for nothing. Desperately need a parcel which I paid extra for (special delivery) and they won't deliver it until Friday if I'm lucky. Won't be using RM ever again!

I can't believe that this area ME14 5QF Vinters park has only had one letter post during the last 3 weeks when prior to covid, Snow, and prior to striking we used to get letter post every day except Sunday I just can't believe that not one person does not have some sort of letter post during this period of 3 weeks, it's awful and I have absolutely no sympathy for the Lazy posties. ...they empty the post box which is right outside my house every day except strike day's, where is our mail ???

I will never send via this courier, I'm waiting for a Christmas gift and it will probably never reach me because the strikes have lost the parcels. pathetic.
