Yeading Post Office

Giving one star as there's no lower option. At 246 Yeading lane Post office,
they took my parcel (pre-paid online), but gave me no receipt 'just leave your parcel over there'.. I asked for receipt, but the two shop assistants refused to provide telling me instead to go to the 'main' post office as they 'already closed at 5.30pm'. (I was there justy after 7, this post office is advertised as closing at 7.30pm). I wanted to clarify and asked for their name or Supervisor's name - which they refused to provide (why refuse if done nothing wrong?!).. But what followed next made me consider calling the Police: My mobile phone was flicked out of my hand (landed on the counter) by one of the shop assistants - as he's refused to provide name I was trying to take picture (one of the assistants ducking under the counter - on the picture you can see part of white cardigan) to identify either of them for later when talking to supervisor.. I voiced my objection for them touching my belongings, then I heard one of the assistants throwing the rudest names you can think of in my direction from the back of the shop! (there was nobody else but me and 2 of them).. I should have indeed called the police, but I had to find another place to post the parcel still.. Both shop assistants seem to have had little or no training in basic transactions, or indeed basic manners. I will be reporting this branch to the Post Office headquarters.. (Luckily, my phone wasn't broken and I posted the parcel elsewhere later)

Most of the people who work here are very friendly & helpful, but unfortunately there's one guy who lets it all down. Firstly he opens up late (arriving at quarter past instead of ready to open for 9am, not even apologising but simply saying to the queue of customers that "most people come later"), then he's challenged me on two occasions about the amount I've pre-paid online for parcel postage, incorrectly telling me I need to pay more in the shop. Both times he's been very aggressive about it, not to mention quite rude. The first time I ended up speaking to his colleague who told me that I was correct and apologised, telling me that the other guy didn't know what he was talking about so not to worry. It unfortunately happened again today, and when I pointed out this was the second time we were having the same debate he started speaking over me, raising his voice and telling me that I had never been into the shop before (which is not true as I've used them a fair few times) and that I " needed to know that I was wrong" etc. Sadly I won't be back now and will take my business elsewhere, as this one chap just makes it very difficult. Have double checked postage for this parcel again since and all was ok,

Great location, in a parade of shops so you can drop off your parcel, and pick up your essential food from the nearby shops, also have a boots pharmacy in same location.

Staff are friendly and when extra busy inside the shop on the post office counter, the shop owner also serves from the normal shop counter, helps bring down the ques and get served quicker.

Had no issues every time used this post office, would dwfinately recomend, lots of parking outside the post office and shops which gives convenience and ease of access 👍🏼

If I could give minus I would waited ten minutes on counter just to hear he has not got Stamp. And he was on phone for the ten minutes, some honesty goes a long way.

What a joke! Disgusting and Disgraceful service!

Firstly the post office is supposed to be open between 9:00 to 17:30! The supposedly "Post Master" closes the doors when he feels like it!

The staff are rude and incompetent! I have been using the post office for 47 years. Only to be told I can't pay my credit card or utility Bill's as the Giro was abolished 10 years ago! And no post office in the UK will let me pay my Bill's by cash! As the Giro doesn't exist!.

I produced my Bills and showed him the dates, showed him the Post Office Wrbsite and stated these major corporate companies cannot be wrong!

I could not believe what I was hearing! He was extremely rude and aggressive. He shouted and fought with me in front of children's. I had to compose myself and leave!

I have never encountered such best customer service in a post office! Especially lying about services which have been delivered for as long as I can remember!

I shall be reporting him, as I have read similar reviews about his behaviour! I'm shocked that the business has not been taken away from him. People like him should be barred from delivering this institutional public service!

Such helpful and friendly staff and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Worst place to shop and post award goes to these guys. They have no manners and are always confrontational. No regard of customers and when you complain they bluntly told me "if it's not good why you come here then".
