Balham Post Office

I have been using this Post Office branch for years and I was very pleased with my experience today. I had to send a big parcel of clothes to my family in France and the lady employee couldn't have been more helpful. She was friendly, polite and took the time to explain the different options to send my package. As it was in the morning (around 10.30AM) the branch was quiet with only a handful of customers which was nice and all the employees were wearing their masks.

Worst post office I’ve ever lived near. Staff are rude and there’s always a queue, often all the way outside the door. Just queued for half an hour to then see a tiny sign at the front to say there weren’t accepting QR returns (so basically any return!). To which I was met by a staff member who actually shouted at me for saying it needs to be moved to the front of the queue. Praying they go under new management really soon as it’s an absolute joke. Avoid if possible

I had a good experience. Miss Urvi asked me about what was inside the parcel and I was about to send a restricted item. She advised me to remove it and then my parcel was good to go. She was really helpful.

I personally had a good experience, although there was a long queue, it moved quickly, the staff was efficient and friendly. The manager pratik was patient and helped me sort my license issue.

Was supposed to open at 9am but none of the staff showed up. Waited 20 mins before calling it a day. An embarrassment to the post office

Went in to drop off a pre-paid parcel at 17:45 and there was STILL a queue of 15-18 people. A lad came in just after me with the same mission and he decided to go and find out. He said it had been the same all day so must have treied previously. Anyway - they accepted the parcel and he came back and told me to go and just pass it over the counter. Result ! So if that is all you have to do - drop off a pre-paid parcel - it's a pleasant experience.

Without a shadow of doubt the worst post office in London. They either don't employ enough staff (those they do often arrive late or work incredibly slowly) or the ones they do are just hopeless. Should be shut down.

Unfortunately, using this post office is never a pleasant experience. Most of the staff are unfriendly, discourteous, even rude. I handed in a parcel and I wasn't even acknowledged. I then watched the staff member sling the parcel carelessly on the floor of the drop off area. I had to ask whether she had what she needed so that I could leave. Around 80% of interactions here are like this.
