In quee in front of me, one customer has been charged for small parcel the most expensive one, I have got same 1st class sign, 1/3 price.
Should be stopped!
The Manager of this Post Office should be ashamed, the exterior looks very rundown on this attractive historical building, which negatively affects the shopping high road.
The interior has gone down hill, just an unorganized mess and very cheap looking as well, I doubt this Post Office looked like this in bygone days when people had more shop pride.
The staff are extremely moody and unpleasant individuals, clearly they are very unhappy and depressed to find themselves working at this Post Office, they need to make an effort and find a more suitable job that does not involve any customer skills!
(Stitch is housed in this store, it's not really a haberdashery shop).
The paint work on the front framing the windows above the this Post Office/shop are all chipped away, and just need a coat of paint, a very affordable job!
The beautiful arch windows are plastered with notices nobody cares to read that only result to giving a tatty look to the building, (there should be a decent notice board on the side of the building for notices) the large wooden doors need re varnishing.
I wish those who are responsible for the buildings on the high road would NOT be allowed to neglect or trash these buildings because it's what makes an area look rundown and uninviting.
Shop owners need to take better responsibility to help improve trading in the area.
Hanging baskets (filled with sessional plants, evergreen plants) at each side of this Post Office will also help make it attractive and aid trade for STITCH. Just needs some effort.
Mind you, if you see the people responsible for this Post Office than don't expect anything good to happen. Pity, Enfield Council does not fine such shop owners for neglect.
I don't recognise the place described by previous reviewers.
It’s a beautiful building but the owners have taken no care to maintain it. The lovely windows are covered with old notices that no one reads, the inside of the store sells so much tat that I can’t imagine anyone actually buys. There are cardboard boxes everywhere stuffed with more tat to sell - it just looks so messy and sad inside.
If the owner would tidy the inside every so often and expose the windows, it would look so much nicer. As a high street essential, the place needs a bit of love and care to be honest!
