Melcombe Street Post Office

I had a very bad experience in this post office. First, the guy did not wear a mask and does not know how the exact process for parcelforce. They are very argumentative. In the end, I was right.

What used to be a convenient 5-minute shop for fresh/organic produce, has become a lucky dip for either waiting in line for 15/20 minutes at times due to this shops recent partnership with the postal office.
I understand that businesses want to make extra money, and as a result offer their shops as postal points. However this has seriously impacted how I and other customers of long standing feel about shopping here now.
Would I rather risk waiting 15 minutes in line for a single organic product, or do I just go 10 seconds down the road to Tesco and get the same product for less. Needless to say, I’ve done the later way too many times now as sometimes this queue is so ridiculous that customers are now forming lines leading out of the shop!

If the shop owner is reading this, you seriously reconsider your contract with the postal office. There is a post office on Baker Street, you DO NOT need to sacrifice your business model, which has gotten you this far and also survived a pandemic, and for what? For the sake of allowing people to return their overpriced and unwanted ASOS/Zara shops because it didn’t look as cute as they hoped. What a joke.

I had a special delivery go missing last week 25/11/2021. No trace of it leaving Melcombe street post office…. Anyone else had this problem?

Perhaps would be helpful if you updated your closing times for the post office instead of having people show up to it being closed

Utterly useless. Don’t waste your time.

I travel out of my way to and from work because these guys are very friendly and accommodating even when I have large and inconvenient orders to send for my business. Gets busy sometimes but for the size of the place it's to be expected at peak times so just be patient! They'll look after you
