Finchley Post Office

The man serving me was polite but completely clueless about how to process a simple asos return. I showed him the QR code and he informed me that 'the royal mail don't do square barcodes, that must be a DPD thing'. He couldn't understand my simple request so I had to give up.

Friendly and efficient service including basics like sending parcels, letters and buying stamps. You will need to visit a larger post office for other services. The nearest is North Finchley or Golders Green.

Only one counter open. Extremely slow and long queues. Needs more staff. And they didn’t respond well at all to this feedback when I gave it in person xD

The door sign shows closing at 12:00pm on Sunday. Online shows 12:30pm. They have closed at 11:55am and refused to assist.

Useless postal office...very rude people running the shop. I hope the place will be closed and replaced with kind and not lazy personell

They don't answer their phone. Their staff are always on breaks. There are long queues with just one person serving. They are very slow.

I’m surprised by all the negative reviews.
Yes the post office is crammed and small.
Sometimes the staff are under pressure because of the long queues which isn’t their fault but I have always found the staff to be polite and helpful. Not given to small talk admittedly but that shouldn’t be construed as rudeness. Some of the reviewers on the other hand are simply rude.

I don’t normally review post offices, I review food.

However this is my local post office and I’m a bit confused by the reviews. I’ve had queues at this store, which is normal for a post office but not once have I had rude or vile staff.

I’ve been served by 3 different members of the staff and all have been really pleasant and accommodating. Some of them are quiet but - I don’t think that’s rude, they’re probably just not wanting to do small talk with everyone that comes through the door, that makes sense!

Who knows, maybe it’s dependent on the time people go, or I’ve not met this elusive awful staff member but I think more than a 2 star review is due for this store.
