Cop Lane Post Office

Letters sent abroad from this post office are not delivered. They were very surprised when I wanted to send parcel 8 kg by parcel force. They gave me much higher price than I calculated on a parcel force website, supposed to be about 16£ they said 75£ is the cheapest and will be not trucking.

Excellent post office service - always chatty and helpful when I use the service. Very knowledgeable and have remained open and upbeat throughout Covid19. Thank you.

Refuse to give me proof of posting for sign for letter and parcel, rude and unhelpful. Avoid if you can.

The owner always has a bad attitude and is very arrogant. He's also always looking for a reason to moan.

Every time I go in he's on his phone blatantly making me wait a few minutes before he serves me. At first he rudely complained that I was buying the labels all online so it will put him out of a job soon. So I brought them in without labels and he moaned at me for bringing too many, he recommended I should use the online service instead, pretty contradictory of him.

He also refuses anything to do with pay point and gas/electric meter credit although this branch is listed for multiple other service on google. Unless your handing him cash over the counter he's not interested in helping you. He'd rather make you travel to another branch to redeem your gas credit. He has refused this 3/4 times with me.

Their operating procedure is inconsistent , sometimes they'll take my parcel, scan it and that's it ready to go. Other times he will take it, wont scan it but ask for the online paper to stamp instead.

Friendly and helpful. Having been pushed around ever closing Barclays branches, started using this PO and they have been very helpful 👍

Terrible attitude to customer service. They seem determined to be as unhelpful as they possibly can with an arrogant attitude. I went to Liverpool Road post office instead, who happily scanned the QR code and printed the return label without any problem when Pope Lane refused to, insinuating I was stupid and couldn’t follow instructions. Needless to say they’ve lost a customer.

Time for Saturday says they are open 9am until 01.00pm, got there just after 12.45 and the man was on the door step cleaning up and insisted they were closed. Very abrupt and rude and not helpful at all. Will not be using this post office again and don't recommend any one else does either.

Maybe the person working here needs a better alarm, supposed to open at 9.00am. Left at ten past still not open
