Hillview Post Office

Always have problems with this post office accepting free return parcels, they will always refuse saying something along the line of “the label isn’t valid” or “that company does not return through the post office”, I take it to another post office and they always say the parcel is fine. Not sure if laziness but the attitude from behind the till is nearly always miserable

I went in to buy some milk (£1.50 for 4pts) Frustratingly they only allow card payments over £2 so I had to purchase something else, very cheeky indeed especially during these covid-19 times whereby we are being encouraged (according to government guidelines) to use contactless. It’s unfair and not ethical to then make people pay a minimum amount on card. I wouldn’t return here.

Was told that my parcel had not been delivered and to check later, even though I had received an email from Royal Mail confirming that the parcel was at the collection point from 11:39 today. I had to show GPS tracking and point at my parcel which was viewable from the counter before they would let me collect it. No apology and the owner (male) remained on the phone during the whole transaction. I use the post office a lot and am always polite, so extremely disappointed.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. I have been made to feel most unwelcome. It’s such a shame when as a small community I want to support our local shops, but similarly to other reviewers experience, I to shall also not ever be returning to this Post Office or shop facility and using Lightwater instead. Such a shame when we are so lucky to live in such a friendly place, but this is certainly an exception due to the rudeness and disgusting attitude shown to customers.

My mother politely asked for two parcels to be sent today and he spoke to her like dirt, as though it was an inconvenience for her to even be in the store. She left visibly upset and feeling unwelcome.

This sort of attitude is unacceptable and quite frankly, embarrassing coming from a grown man. Where is your common decency?

Should she receive treatment of this nature In the future, I will be reporting the matter formally and taking further action.

I encourage anyone considering the use of this post office in the meantime to go elsewhere.

The post master is extremely rude and makes the customer feel like an inconvenience. The post mistress however is better, but she works the afternoon shift and it’s not always possible to visit in the afternoon.

I no longer use this Post Office as surly staff, unfriendly and they all seem to have an attitude problem. I go to Lightwater Post Office where good service and friendly staff, much better, helpful
