Oxted Post Office

Extremely rude "owner" forced me to leave the post office as I have no mask. But I am exempt. He didn't attempt to ask. I had to go back with a mask full of anxiety and wonders why I was so rude. I will never EVER have a parcel sent back there again.

Twice I have been over charged as this post office. Today the parcel I was trying to post weighed less than 1.5kg and normally would cost me £4.45 in Hurst Green and Westerham however they tried to charge me for a large parcel. Not only that but they tried to convince me that anywhere else that is charging less is a con, the biggest con is that post office.

Absolutely bad service, bad Attitude. Exceedingly rude owner! The staff here are unbelievably rude! It is a real shame as Oxted is such a lovely friendly place.

Owner unnecessarily rude. After his terrible manner and customer service he then Complained that my baby had picked something up (literally a ball of string worth which obviously I was going to put straight back). Won’t be using again!

Go regularly and always helpful and chatty, queues regularly but the staff are working as quick as they can.

Staff aren't always the cheeriest but I can understand that especially when they are busy. Never had a problem staff-wise myself and parcels always get dispatched and delivered in a timely manor. Don't appreciate them throwing parcels into a bag with fragile tape very clearly on display though, genuinely wondered how I haven't had any breakages on those parcels.

Rude staff, clearly don't want to be there. I asked for a receipt for my parcels and he made a huge song and dance of it, as if I'd asked for the biggest favour. I never review places but I had to this time. I will be sticking to the Hurst Green post office as they are much friendlier and obliging.

Exceedingly rude owner! Threw his toys out of the pram and started a tirade of verbal abuse when I asked if he had 1 inch of cello tape where my letter’s sticky bit had failed. He kept accusing me of wanting free stuff, but I would gladly have paid him the penny it would have cost him. I would assume if you ask for a pen to fill in a form you would also be after “free stuff”!!! I just tend to use the Limpsfield post office unless it’s a service only provided by the Oxted one.

Shame, having lived in Oxted nearly 40 years I always found the post office a delightful place until the new guy took it over. Let’s hope he takes the feedback on board and stops abusing his customers.

The rest of the staff seem OK and decent though.
