Tonteg Post Office

I went here today to return a parcel and I have never done it before so I was a little unsure of the process.

I was greeted by a woman who screamed at me to enter the shop as it is only one in at a time. I explained I wasn't sure how to return the parcel. She didn't answer me and demanded I put the item on the scale. Once I done this she told me label was wrong and I needed a different one. I said OK I will check my phone and she said well I can't do anything with that call the customer help line. I explained I don't have a printer at home and she said I can't do anything and she slammed my parcel down and slid it back at me across the desk. The customer service I received was probably the worst I have ever ever experienced. Even after explaining I wasn't sure how to return a parcel this woman continued to be rude, abrupt and kept huffing and rolling her eyes at me like in was jusg in the way. She also kept looking behind me as if she wanted to serve someone else. It was all so upsetting

I left feeling extremely anxious and upset after this experience and will not ever be returning there ever again. I will also be telling all my family and friends about this experience as I would never want anyone to feel the way I felt today.

I do Hope someone advises her that she can't treat people like that and hope some customer service training will be assigned to her in the near future

Brilliant service received. Very friendly staff. The owner and staff are very helpful when problems with parcels. Great service. Recommend

Review edited: following my review, I have not seen the woman mentioned in quite a few months now and I'm happy to update my review on recent visits. Back to the lovely friendly service as prior to the woman working there. Always happy for a little chat and very helpful with stock etc. I'm so happy that the service has resumed back to how it always has been. Some lovely items also and plenty of candle selection.

Previous review: rated 1 star - I have used this post office as my main post office for quite some time now and have always been greeted by a lovely woman however it really is luck of the draw.

You risk the chance of bumping into the rudest woman you will ever meet who literally screams at you even if there are other customers in the shop too. How embarrassing and anxiety provoking!

I will no longer be using the post office as i would prefer and feel safer to drive the extra 2 minutes and use the post office in Church Village. The chance of having that woman serving me again is too much.

I am absolutely appalled at the service provided by her. Such a shame as the others are lovely.

Lovely selection of items but there is one member of staff who speaks in a passively condescending tone when you are unsure about something, she even shut down my conversation and told me to leave when asking her about COVID-test packages (they don't mail them so I was asking for advice) without even so much as an apology.

However the rest of the staff are seem very friendly and want to help.

I always use this post office and never had a problem in fact they go above and beyond to help i know at least one old lady they visit to make sure she can get all her postal needs and no doubt they do more i will always support my local post office and just look at the ones that have closed due to negative people who just write stupid remarks like ive seen posted on hear if you don't like the service go elsewhere they won't miss you

I have just read the reviews regarding Tonteg Post Office and am amazed by the negative comments. I use this Post Office on a regular basis and have always found ALL the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional.

This is my nearest post office. It's such a shame one of the staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. She will always try to overcharge/upsell on postage
