52 years of excellent care. They are still cari g for my elderly parents, myself, my husband and my children. Always do what they can to help and are extremely friendly and caring. We are very lucky to have this surgery on our doorstep.

I recently joined and I am so happy with the level of service and help the gp’s have given me abd my family . my old gp in England were so inadequate when compared now to the care I am receiving at this practice . I am very happy with this surgery so nice to see professional doctors that care and offer a great service .

I have been with this surgery for the past 10 year's, and I am sadden to have to change Dr's due to moving out of their area. The receptionist are helpful and friendly. Over the past 18 months I have been house bound.and have nothing but praise for Dr Woods, who called to do home visits on a number of times
Also a Mention for Dr Short who always had time to ring me back if I needed to speak to him.
I only wish that I could stay with the practice.
A big thank you to you all.

My family and I have been with this surgery for the past 6 years now. The surgery had a slight change of top management, which made it evenue better than before.
The doctors listen to patient's problems and very promptly refer to specialists when needed.
Apart from a little error in judgement by a visiting midwife, I have always found all the doctors and nurses to be very helpful. And a big thanks goes the boss for running the team so well.

"I have used this practice for over 15 years now after leaving a poor practice previously. Throughout that time I have met many Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Support Staff. Almost all in that time have shown me the utmost respect and have given me the highest level of care in their remit.
The Principal GP has a wonderful rapport with his patients and since I have had a long term health condition has always made time to speak with me on all affecting things whether face to face or via a telephone consultation. The Practice Partner also displays these same qualities and is just as accomplished. (They both find reasons and causes that I wouldn't have thought of!) Though I have not seen the other Doctors frequently I know that they are also very good at their positions and my partner sings their praises too. The Reception Staff are friendly, professional and well versed at their positions, some also provide other services in the Practice.
There can be up to a two week, (maximum,) wait for afternoon appointments but morning, (emergency,) appointments can be accessed via the phone, or by attending the surgery directly at a particular time before booked appointments begin. There are many services available and everyone has a friendly demeanour. I'm lucky, I think, to have been able to use Saltmead Medical Centre for as long  I have.

Nurses are great and also some of the doctors made a good impression especially Rebecca Cushen who was truly willing to solve my issue and seems to understand the situation I find myself in. Dr Short was good at following up quickly, but really let me down overall by not explaining me how the system works or to place me immediately on waiting lists etc. This has led to a lot of delay in a very dire time when I really needed someone to stand up for me and take me by the hand...

The only good thing about this surgery are nurses that are very nice and professional. All doctors and receptionists are completely useless. GP questioned the treatment given by an experienced consultant - he delayed the start of my treatment by over a month! None of the doctors has ever said anything smart or helpful to me. They confuse the blood test referrals, prescriptions. They are comletely disorganised, slow, incompetent and arrogant. I had to chase them for standard prescriptions, sometimes had to wait even 2-3 weeks. Waiting time for a routine appointment with GP is 4 weeks! They make problems with absolutely everything. To get your test results you need to fill out a form and even then they won't give you the thing you asked for, only something else and again you need to fill out a form and wait. One receptionist didn't want to lend me a pen to sign a form becasue of... covid! They have a piece of paper on the door about not being abusive to the staff - well, people get abusive because of your incompetence and arrogance so get better rather than write such nonsense. Or quit your job.

Awful. My mental health is poor - I had to call the out of hours doctor - he took my details - told me my info would be sent to the surgery and that they'd call me in the morning for an emergency appointment. They didn't. SO when i called I had to wait to speak to someone - bearing in mind I told them i was suicidal. The doctor called me back hours later - only to be rude and uncaring given my mental health at the time. She called me back whilst I was busy and told me she'd organised somewhere for me to go - i was busy. Then she made me feel guilty - that 'she'd been working at it all afternoon' - I didn't know. Then, i was referred to another team who were awful, now it's been taken back to the GP. I want to scream - if you suffer with poor mental health - this surgery is not a good place to start
