Only really had to go doctors for my kids check ups etc, but the children's nurses have always been kind, quick and empathetic towards both me and my kids.

Never had trouble with having to get an appointment.

Always clean and tidy. Well done surgery.

The telephoning system is totally unacceptable
Why don’t they try allowing people to go online to request an appointment
Then one of the practice nurses could triage the importance of the requests and allocate appropriately
Surely this would reduce the demand on the telephones
The current system is untenable

Recently moved to Barry & am very pleasantly surprised with the Waterfront Medical Centre. Staff always pleasant & helpful & you never feel like you’re being a nuisance asking for an appt - unlike my last surgery.

Phone line is awful, Queue is either busy and it hangs up on you, Or if your lucky your placed in a queue but by time you get through to someone all appointments are gone, They're constantly short staffed or closed for staff training, Receptionist are rude and unhelpful, Make you feel guilty for actually seeking help, Moving surgery as its gone so far down hill recently!

Absolutely ridiculous trying to get an appointment here, the queue system is always full between 8am and 10am, and by the time you do get through they refuse to give an appointment as they are apparently all gone! Needs a massive look at this system!

Bit of a joke of a place. The call handler needs to be more understanding and helpful towards patients rather than fobbing them off. Few months back phoned as desperately needed to see a dr only to be told they were short staffed and try again the next day. That night i was in out of hours then hospital with Pneumonia and collapsed lung. Very unhelpful even when looking into a pneumonia vaccine that i wouldn't mind paying myself to be abruptly told i'm too young and can't have it. No knowledge or advice on where to get one either. Once you get past the call handler you're probably in with a chance!

Being sighed at down the phone after explaining your problem to the receptionist just makes you feel really uncomfortable and like you're a bother. Sorry to be such an inconvenience but I thought I would contact the GP's office cos I'm... SICK. *gasp*

Have been with this surgery since I was a baby and it was formerly known as Tower Surgery. In almost four decades that I have been with the surgery the staff have always been super polite and considerate. Both with my health conditions and that of my late deceased father.

The community mental nurse that's based at this surgery has also been superb with the extremely trying times I have had in the last 18 months.

When I have needed additional information or referrals to external bodies the reception staff have gone above and beyond to help me.
