Only moved to this surgery 4 weeks ago after it was recommended, first time contact has been an absolute shambles... all I've asked for is a sicknote after undergoing surgery last week. 1st phonecall told to do it on app so I figure out this app and request , simple it seems how I was wrong went in to collect after 4 days its not ready told to try again the next day . Phone the next day to be told its in the basket and should be signed that day and to collect the next day . Next day I go to collect to be told there isn't one she will request it again ring back tommorow. Day 7 I ring up asking and shockingly (not) its not there !!!! I ask to speak to a manager they are busy so I ask for a call off a manager, 20 mins later the receptionist phones me to say they have spoken to manager and it could be that I need proof of surgery ??!!?? Why did I not get the call I requested from the manager??? Why after visits and phonecalls am I only just being told I need proof??? I spent an hour on the phone to a nurse in the hospital trying to get the proof?! ( like they have time hospitals are run off their feet) absolutely disgusting service 7 days of unwanted and unneeded stress when trying to recover!! Highlight park you should be ashamed of yourselves

Excellent service, friendly receptionists and doctors. The doctor I saw was the only one who actually listened and cared about my symptoms which resulted in a diagnosis that no other surgery was able to give. Not sure why others are giving this practice such a low rating. I cant fault them. They are simply the best

Really gone to the dogs. Reception staff give you all kinds of conradictory (wrong) information. Trying to phone takes forever, then they cut you off. Does anyone know a good doctors surgery in Barry please?

Very very grateful for this practice, Alison was a huge help yesterday in making sure I had my repeat prescription over the Christmas period after an issue with the pharmacy’s fax machine, My repeat had been faxed through as urgent yesterday evening and Alison had this all sorted and signed within an hour before the pharmacy’s closed, Staff always friendly and very helpful even when understaffed and very busy.

We have only been with Highlight Park for 18 months but have found the receptionists to be delightful, most unlike many receptionists. We have had no problems with either being phoned back or filling in the e-consult (although very unnecessarily long-winded). I have seen a doctor on a few occasions, when necessary, with no delays and no complaints about the attention or the treatment.

I have currently been told that one of the items on my prescription has been flagged and that I need to speak to my GP. So phoned said GP and spoke to Debbie who is the most helpful receptionist at this surgery, who then transferred me to Emma who I take to be the surgery manager. She then informed me that there was a note on the account that said they didn't know why i was prescribed iron tablets, even though in the same sentence said that Dr Hughes had prescribed them, she then said she would investigate this and then phone me back, only to never get a call back. I have phone again today for the receptionist to say there is nothing in my notes regarding a call back. If I need an appointment it wouldn't be until end of August; and that if I needed anything I would have to complete an e-consult which would be 24-48 hours. So i am without medication that i need because i cant talk to a doctor for love nore money. Since covid happened a feel let down by this surgery and it's practices and have an issue with GDPR as I feel the receptionist are viewing my personal data through e-consult as they then triage the priority of the e-consult.

This used to be a very sensible run surgery many years ago, but since there was a change in management (the leading two doctors retired) it is increasingly difficult to be seen by a doctor. The receptionist behave like they have an examn in medicine. Seem to be allowed to overturn doctors decisions (or there is a lack of communication in the practice) and become rude quickly, but try to claim the same against you without any reason other then to justify/defend there own strubbiness. They seem to try to defer every case possible to other services. Knowing that is impossible to change your GP practice in the current NHS crisis, they obviously get away with that.

Web site says open. E consult shut down. Tried yoo phone from 08:00. Keep getting put on hold and call ended without.
Used to be a well run friendly practice. Receptionistvgood management not so good.
