Having had a previous bad experience with a tenant and not feeling fully supported by our previous agent, we were keen to ensure that we worked with an agent who would consider needs as landlords.

I initially spoke to Cameron at Peter Alan lettings and he was a breath of fresh air and positivity, providing great information and carefully taking through our options.

We decided to let through Peter Alan and helped by Cameron and Luke, they guided us through the process and we obtained excellent tenants.

We are more than happy with the service provided. Communication was excellent and responses by Cameron and Luke always prompt. It was a smooth process and I would highly recommend them as a letting agent. Especially if you are a ‘nervous landlord’.

This branch is an fine example of rude agents who call just to hang up once they recognise foreign accents. Just to let you know, the referencing process doesn’t entail excluding potential customers based on only their cultural backgrounds, this is called discrimination!

This branch is a stellar contrast from the other Peter Alan branches, the HQ should take a closer look at this branch’s employees conduct if they don’t want their good reputation tarnished.

Jo and her team have been excellent. Renting in Cardiff is a fraught experience at the moment, but Jo and her friendly team were responsive, respectful, and friendly. They carefully listened to my requirements and by luck, had exactly the sort of property I was looking for.

On having my offer accepted, we then entered the rabbit hole of British bureaucracy. However, this process was made painless as Peter Alan makes heavy use of technology to move through the renting paperwork, as well all the admin needed to switch over utilities and internet etc. This made the whole process relatively painless.

I picked up the keys today and I couldn’t be happier. Whatever you requirements and budgets, you will receive the same level of service. Jo and her team know Cardiff and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Terrible experience. I was asked by Cleo to produce proof of funds to just book a simple viewing based on an online inquiry I made. Not clear what information I provided in the online inquiry incited this behaviour because later when I called back and Cleo picked up not knowing who had called, I wasn’t asked for proof of funds to book a viewing. Needless to say I wasn’t able to view the property the first time round I visited Cardiff because they are also generally very unorganised. The second time I was visiting Cardiff I called back and asked to be booked in and another agent immediately accommodated my request (without proof of funds - surprise!). They sent a confirmation message of the viewings then and the day before my visit to Cardiff. The morning of my visit (already on my way), they cancelled all three viewings I had in the same building without giving a reason or rescheduling. They still email me time to time trying to push other properties on me that they can’t sell. Zero points for customer service and professionalism. Recommend Alexander May and Allen and Harris for their professionalism.

Cleo (canton) and Dianne (Barry branch) were fantastic all through our purchase. Despite having comms issues with solicitors and sellers, Dianne in particular was always helpful and friendly. Cleo was great in assisting us at the beginning and end of our purchase, they also picked up the sale sign promptly as promised.

I'm convinced that Niall Burton is heaven sent! After having listed with a different agency and having no luck we switched to Peter Alan in Canton. As soon as Niall was managing the sale of our property, we instantly felt looked after and were kept abreast of everything that was happening at each stage. Even when there wasn't any updates Niall would call us just to reassure that there was no news and he would keep us up to date. Everything you want from an estate agent, I can't thank Niall enough for all the hard work he put in and we are now finally sold! He is a shining example of fantastic customer service that we just haven't experienced anywhere else.

Update: been 18 days still very little solved .

I have to say I am pretty disappointed, they rented me a property without hot water, without all the legal smoke alarms, with a broken stove, broken fridge, broken washing machine.
Urine stained mattress, stained carpets.

During telling them about the problems which I noticed right away after getting the keys, I was told I have to plumb the washing machine in myself, every other enquire has just been "I will request the landlord to do it"

So far its day six and still no hot water, still broken appliances, nothing has been done I havent been able to even live in my own home been living in my mothers. Will seek compensation when this is sorted if it ever will be.

Writing this review in hopes they will press the landlord to meet their legal requirements
