Overall my partner and I have been really happy with Stanley and Partners. Both Jody and Joanna have been really helpful from start to finish with the viewings through to any challenges with the property that needed sorting.
All problems were resolved very quickly and communication was great.
We were also offered flexibility with our moving in date which was not needed but really great to know that it was an option as we were moving from Brighton and were unsure about timings.
So far, really happy with the experience we have had!

We recently used Stanley & Partners for a new letting, having moved from out of the area.
Mainly dealt with Jody, who has been brilliant. Professional, friendly and able to sort out everything in a nice timely manner. Had a few maintenance issues upon moving in but Jody has sorted these out on the same day and makes me really feel at ease about everything. Would highly recommend using this lovely agency.

Worst experience with an estate agents was with this one in Burgess Hill.
They do things that suit them and have no respect for the tenants.
They also tried to say I caused damaged to the property when we left I was lucky to have photos of the damage with the daily newspaper on the day we moved in so challenged it and they apologised after several weeks.
The owner James is also extremely rude he is not great with people communication.

Just 48h before moving in we were asked to pay 12 months rent in advance. Not in our tenancy agreement we felt we had no choice but to pay in light of the imminent move.

Shortly after moving in we got our gas supply cut off, despite the itinerary clearly evidencing a debt on the meter they hadn't settled. We got reconnected just short of 48 hours later and refunded the balance we paid after many hours and several weeks talking with British gas.

Shortly after that we then realised the big darkened patch in our living room(also in the itinerary) was actually wet. We immediately called our agents to report it. Nothing was done for several weeks until we put this in writing. The last few months have been nothing short of a nightmare.

When asked if we would have to pay full rent or get any kind of rebate, considering the
huge disturbance to our living space there stance was clear. "You wouldn't stop paying a mortgage if you owned the property" we would never stop paying rent we know this is illegal.

It's taken several months of fighting to get specialists in and still no actually plan to investigate the concrete or the dpm underneath.

The staff have been unbelievable rude and difficult.

My partner had a contractor turn up at approx 1840 in the evening while she was on her own, he was armed with a toolbox and a letter from the letting agents and pursuaded my hesitant partner to letting him in for several minutes. When confronted with this they had the cheek to lie and say it was okay. One of the reasons being that she had met him before... She had never met him. Even if she had that's no excuse to contractors to be turning up at your property unannounced at anti social hours.

All we have asked for is what is right and fair. "It's not about what's right" was just one of the responses we had from an agent visiting the property.

Avoid this letting agents please. For your own well being.

We have been left feeling treated like a nuisance.

If you see the photo this is what we are currently dealing with. We have no living or dining room.

We are eating meals on the floor in our bedroom, trying to spend as little time as possible. The only compensation offered a £25 gesture towards running the dehumidifier.

Estate agents response to this review is knowingly false and defamatory. Clearly providing one of our full names ands potentially breaching data protection.

We can and will be evidenceing the response to be false and knowingly so.

Everything we have said is factual. We have reached out many many times to the owner. We have not come here to name and shame individuals. To do so is knowingly malicious and unethical.

We just don't want anybody else to go through this.

Recently finalised a tenancy with Stanley & Partners. The whole process was a great experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend Stanley & Partners for both landlords and prospective tenants.

Our experience with Jill at the Burgess Hill branch was among the best we have had with an estate agent - right from the intial viewing through to getting the keys it was all stellar and beyond reassuring that we were in good hands. Happy to report that this has continued after we have moved in, as often this is not a given. An overall delightful and smooth experience in a field where this often isn't the case!

Stanley & Co have been our letting agents for many years. They are a family run firm and offer very high expertise. We have had brilliant advice from James when having difficulties as a landlord and the staff are extremely responsive. Can highly recommend.
