Poor. We used them to find a tenant. Never got any feedback. Told them several times someone else had let the place & it's still on Rightmoves. Now they have LOST OUR KEYS! When I said I wasn't happy he laughed out loud and said he was flabbergasted at my response - he'd lost keys before and it was no big deal! I would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Unprofessional, rude. Funnily enough, Jay didn't speak to my husband in the same manner - was much more polite to him so add chauvanistic to that too. We had used them before in 2008 and they were good, so I don't know why they are so bad now. William H Brown are much more professional.

Sale went through quick and smooth. Fees are reasonable (one of the best in the area). They were helpful, friendly and attentive.

We were send a text message to inform us that we had our annual house check a week before they were coming which was booked by masons and was not convenient for us I called and cancelled was told they would use their keys to enter the house which I stated in have never given never consent for. I was told I would get a call to rebook which never happened then the original day of booking came and just as I was going out a bloke from masons turned up told me that it hadoes to be done today as they were busy. What a surprise no one can seem to do there job correctly and most of the staff are rude and don't listen. Wish I could rent directly with my land lady and cut masons out

If I could leave zero stars I honestly would.

Well what can I say about Mason Estates? Nothing positive that is for sure.
From personal experience I found the staff rude, arrogant and either utterly useless or lazy (I'm not sure which but probably both). I rented a student property which was sold at one point during our tenancy, the new landlord switched the letting agent to Mason Estates.

From day dot there was nothing but problems, there were no clear directions, the contract was a shambles (that they had obviously copy and pasted from the internet) and the staff had no idea what they were doing. I was told several times that it was their first student property and at one point asked how to advertise the property the next year for new students, I'm sure that was the staff's job, I am in no way a letting agent.

It was written in our contract that staff would have to give 24 hours notice to come into the house but often a certain letting agent would appear in our hour unannounced. There was a severe delay when any repairs needed to be done. At one point my bed base broke (as the bed base was to put it bluntly pieces of cardboard/mdf superglued together with some material over the top, I would be surprised if it cost more than £50) and I waited over two months to get a new bed base. I called every week/two weeks to get an update, but I slept on my mattress on the floor whilst paying nearly £400 a month for a fully furnished room. When we had guests round and the letting agent came round unannounced he would be very rude to our guests also.

I also found out from a council inspector that as the property was a HMO, that the fire alarm should have been tested and logged every week. There was no such test every week. From the log book the fire alarm had been tested once in the (almost) year that we lived there.

Lastly, (there were lots of problems but too many to write on a review) when it came to getting our deposits back, we were given a specific deadline to get them back. We all had not heard a peep from Mason Estates, several of my housemates had to chase up Mason Estates. Luckily our deposits were in the Deposit Protection Scheme, so I had to pay a solicitor to write a letter to claim my deposit back, if they did not claim any damage I had done within 14 days (which I hadn't and they didn't even bother replying) then I would get my full deposit back. Needless to say, I would never recommend Mason Estates to anyone. They are highly unprofessional, decide on which laws apply to them when they like and do not carry out the tasks which are required by their job.

No response in getting repairs sorted. Rude and disrespectful.
No response from emails and no action after phone calls.

Rude and very arrogant, wouldn’t want my worst enemy to use these guys. Completely unprofessional.
Was unaware I had only put a star review, I thought I best put an actual review in words to make it clearer to other people! Do not use these guys you’ll be incredibly disappointed!

USELESS. I have been a tenant for 8 years and are they are unwilling to help in any regard. They close weekend and on lunchtime so are you have to take the day off of work to visit. I took the day off to go down to the office to be told it is by appointment only although i spoke to them on the phone 1 hour previously. I did however get my full deposit back end of tenancy.
