Bairstow Eves Sales and Letting Agents Kirkby-in-Ashfield

I had a very unpleasant experience with an agent called Lesley at the Kirkby in Ashfield office after making a very respectable initial offer on a property that had just come on the market at 210k, offering just 10k below the asking price. I was basically ridiculed and told ‘that would never be accepted’ in a very patronising and abrasive manner. I was very interested in the property and would definitely have increased my offer, however the whole experience was enough to put me off contacting the estate agent again, which is very unfair to the buyer and seller. I have dealt with quite a few estate agents over the last few weeks who have been a pleasure to deal with, this has been the only exception.

Lesley, Jo & Chloe have been first class with the instruction for the sale for my property.

The property is a family home & selling this has been quite an emotional time, the ladies have been so supportive & understanding & this has helped me enormously with any concerns I may have had, I cannot thank them enough

We did receive an early offer for the property but this was rejected as per my instruction on the asking price.
I have noted a review relating to this which I find disappointing as I cannot understand that a ten thousand pound reduction at such an early stage would have been accepted & the comments were harsh & unjustified.

As it was my first time selling a house, i had no idea what to do when it came to the paperwork, but the team supported me every step of the way, which i can't thank them enough for. Jo, Lesley and Chloe at the Kirkby in Ashfield office were all excellent throughout what proved to be a long and complicated process. After signing up with them, they immediately sent us a large number of viewers and the house was soon sold. We had moved to Bairstow eves from another estate agent who had managed to find us only 3 viewers in 3 months! Unfortunately, the first sale fell through, and also a subsequent sale, but each time they quickly found us new viewers and secured a new buyer for us. They were always quick to react, easy to contact and professional throughout, but also welcoming and friendly and we felt that they really cared about us. They were proactive in communicating with our solicitor and the estate agent dealing with the bungalow we were purchasing to move into, which meant that the process progressed as quickly as possible. We felt supported throughout, which was reassuring as I use a wheelchair and the move was a very stressful time for us. I can't say enough good things about them. They were simply wonderful, and the only reason that I have given this office five stars is there was not a choice of six!

Thank you so much, as I have never purchased before and my husbands last purchase was over 20 years ago! We have had guidance throughout the process. No question was too trivial and Bairstowe Eves were always helpful via phone and emails. We have had good communication throughout the process. A big thank you to Jo and her team much appreciated.

I’m not sure where to start with Jo, Lesley and Chloe. From start to finish they have been absolutely amazing. Going above and beyond when it wasn’t their responsibility. It was my first time selling a house and I had no clue to what do, they talked me through the whole process and we’re always at the end of the phone. The main thing for me was that they kept in touch, even to let me know they hadn’t heard anything which is all you ever need. I can’t recommend them enough, and wouldn’t go anywhere else!
