I feel that we were missold our holiday cottage. The property had been carefully photographed to hide adjoining properties and a loud and noisy construction yard next door.
Despite complaints whilst at the property and after we left early Kent Holiday Cottages do not want to do anything to rectify the situation.
KHC claim they had no knowledge of the yard and had never received any complaints. As we were woken every morning between 2:30am and 5:30am this must be incorrect.
The property owners were adamant that KHC knew of the yard as they visit the property each year and the yard has been there over four years.
In future we will avoid using this company and advise anyone else to do the same.
**in reply to the owners comments below there were No street view photos before we attended. These have been added by us and now give an accurate view of the location. I don't see the point in rehashing my emails to you in a public forum. It's quite clear the company feel they're correct and we disagree.**

Had the best, dreamless sleep here. The nature is beautiful, the wildlife breathtaking. The owners explained everything - and I do mean everything - so I never had to think twice about how to do something. Really caring and friendly people. There was no construction work that I knew of. Truly recommended.

During our stay we had the most relaxing nights and we were pleased to the most beautiful views of the English countryside during the day. Amazing hosts, would recommend anyone to stay here!

Looking for somewhere lovely to stay with my family. Tim Bourne was very easy and accommodating with the booking. It is so nice to know that there are lovely people out there who are willing to help when you are just asking about booking. Thank you Tim Bourne. A cancellation due to a sudden illness requiring a program of treatment met with sympathy and an offer of a refund. It is such a pity that we never got to stay at Lilac cottage.Firstly a change of booking due to covid last year and then illness this year.It was a pleasure to deal with Tim at Kent holiday cottages.
