The van didn't open the window properly. Also, the toilet cassette cover was not properly covered, so it was difficult every time I took out the toilet cassette. Bedding kit We are four, but there were only two servings in it. I had to buy an extra blanket. There was a fine crack in the cup, so the water flowed down. The handle of the central entrance door was also rattling, so it was difficult every time I opened the door.
I can understand the above.
But the following are really angry and mean. I bought premium insurance. And I had an accident on the side of the van. There was a damage and I thought I could pay for maximum availability. But this company unilaterally robbed me of 1700Pounds without notice. The branch office in charge said to only do the maximum deposit but approved it without realizing it. It's very mean. Come to think of it, premium insurance is very close to fraud. There is no guarantee. I even bought an unlimited mileage and the staff in charge pays me for the excess mileage. Premium insurance is supposed to give me a replacement car, but I didn't get any replacement. He tells me to do well on my own and come back. If you are going to use this company, think carefully and judge.

This company is very disorganized. After booking a 5 person van we were downgraded to a 4 person van. They threw in an extra free bedding kit, but we didn't get what was booked. 1 hour before our arrival at the Heathrow Depot arrival we were told that the depot had closed and that we would need to collect the RV the next morning. We were double charged for our booking. We turned up at the depot any way and Craig at the depot was amazing and apologetic for all the screw ups.

I rented a motor home for 4 days in the Lake District. The trip was terrific fun (although challenging maneuvering such a wide vehicle through the tiny roads over there). Alex at checkout was very helpful explaining all the functionality of the vehicle and even threw in an extra chemical tablet for us for our comfort. We were almost an hour late on return but the person receiving us was very understanding. The vehicle itself had some minor problems - some of the handles and fixtures were very delicate and we had to be careful with them - but overall it was very comfortable to sleep in. Highly recommend Indie Campers for a motor home trip and we will use them again on our next trip to the UK.

Awful company. Unprofessional. Dropped off the vehicle at 6:50. Noticed a sign on the door that said call this number if no one is available. Called the number five or six times to no answer. Decided it was appropriate to drop the keys in the drop box like most other hire companies expect. Then get charged 200 pounds for the inconvenience of them not having to come out to collect it. Had a very detailed, 45 minute introduction to the camper yet no mention of a drop off fine. Got insurance yet had to pay the premium four times for every individual scratch on returning the camper. Called to discuss the 700 pounds that was taken out my account and was told that they don’t know enough about the insurance to help. Yet they knew enough about the insurance to charge me less at 9am the next day. Very dodgy company.

Although off airport, it is quite easy to get there from Heathrow's terminal 4, being a short taxi ride away.
Daniel at the Indie Campers Pick Up Centre is very helpful and guided us through our booking, explained and showed us what to do and how to operate the camper we'd hired.
He recoreded the milage and any previous damage to the van before handing over the keys.
He was just as helpful on our return and checked everything over to make sure all was well.

PS As an aside to the Indy Campers Company:
Our hire was in the autumn when evenings were getting cooler and only a thin, summer duvet was supplied - as an extra - and it wasn't really suitable for the cooler nights.
We know there is a heating system in the van but it can use up the gas if not careful.
If possible please ensure duvets supplied are suitable for the seasons of hire.
Thank you.

Really in between a 3 & 4 star here - overall good experience with the Atlas. Price is what you pay, value is what you get.

The good: Good relative price, easy check in, campervans have good "bones" - good interior room, well laid out interiors, did not nickle and dime me on anything.

The bad: Details details.

Details everywhere are kind of what you expect for a very well used campervan - just know that going into this that this is not the 5 star or white glove treatment and expect something to not fit or work 100%.

These campervans are well used and expect most detail items inside (lights, window coverings, mushy brakes, no propane (buy your own), leisure battery etc. really show their wear and tear aka kind of shoddy and expect it to not fit or work 100%...at least they were cool and know the condition of their vehicles.

For example: Vehicle battery died and had to be jump-started on the first day. Probably my fault for using the batter for about 3 minutes. We were always plugged in but from then I woke up in the middle of the night to run the engine to charge the battery and still each day after ensuring everything was off had trouble starting engine.

Leisure battery died after less than 20 minutes just running lights. ..basically both vehicle and leisure batteries are well cycled with probably minimal life remaining and don't hold a charge and need to be replaced.

Details details.

PS the package with cleaning kit was a bit LOL for 65 pounds. A sponge soap and toilet tablets LOL, margin on that was around 90%...good on you mate

I’m so late to leave a review here. But Daniel deserves an award for great customer service. And this is way beyond someone needs to be. He was extremely helpful, kind and open to all our stupid doubts before we went on for the journey. If there’s a next time I would have to hire a caravan? It’s definitely going to be from Daniel at indie campers. No confusion. No hustle. Everything was smooth.

Do not use this company!! we used them and they charged us $5.4k for damage when we had the premium protection insurance. It's a scam, please read the fine print in the T&C's and contract. You are fully liable for the cost of the van.

Update: Nicole the (most likely very busy due to amount of bad reviews by customers) complaints analyst is dealing with our case. We've had to take legal action against the company. My review is simply to stop other potential customers falling victim to your false marketing.
