Rick Stein, Winchester

Delightful dinner. Opened our fast at Rick Stein's seafood restaurant. We had to let the waitress know we needed about 15 minutes before we could order and she was so sweet, so interested in the whole fasting process and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable.

Food was absolutely delicious. Especially recommend the Thai fishcakes as starter and the Cod for main course. Teas came with slices of fudge! A lovely night all round.

Absolutely did not disappoint - delicious oysters, main, and dessert. Lovely menu and we had the friendliest waiter! Great experience and would definitely recommend for a nice dinner.

Anniversary treat trip to Winchester. Beautiful soup followed by the obligatory fish and chips. Desert was Winchester pudding, simply stunning.
Staff were friendly and helpful, a great lunchtime treat.

Did not disappoint. Service was really great. Smoked salmon was delicious, Oysters were fresh but a little lean for my taste. Toffee pudding was one of the best I’ve tried.

Went for an impromptu late lunch and luckily found a table for two. We found our waitress/hostess Bettina to be delightful and extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The Chef Judith even went the extra mile and made our starter extra special and we found the food to be exceptional with a service to match! Keep it up…

Went for my sons 21st birthday as a special treat and they all want to go again. Lovely food cooked to perfection very tasty good quality. Nice surroundings, great atmosphere a great end to a great day.

I love this restaurant! The food is so good, always very well cooked and presented and you can see the quality of the ingredients.
The ambience is great and the staff wonderful, very helpful and professional. I can certainly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Food 4 out of 5. We had a seafood platter, and it was almost perfect, most of it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Some of it was a bit overcooked, and the mussel wasn't as fresh as I expect it to be.

Service 5 out of 5. The server was very nice and friendly, made sure we had something to munch on while waiting for the main since it took longer than expected.

Will try other hot food next time I am here.
