I came here for afternoon tea to celebrate Mother's Day and it was excellent! There was a little bit of a wait while they found our reservation but the staff were very kind and attentive. There was a decent selection of teas to choose from and the free from menu (offering gluten free, dairy free and/or vegan) looked just as good as the regular! The portions were generous (though there could have been more cream and jam) and the servers topped up our tea several times. All of the cakes and sandwiches were really tasty!

I loved that the afternoon tea was Winnie The Pooh themed and I will definitely be returning to see what seasonal menus they come up with in the future. Would definitely recommend.

I'm unsure of the restaurant's relationship with the hotel next door, but I'm glad it exists!

We had the breakfast buffet here, and it was the best we've ever had. Very high quality food, attentive staff, lots of variety. Try the on-request porridge!

We also came here for a couple of cocktails, and whilst expensive they were well made. They're unique drinks, with an intriguing list of ingredients, so worth trying at least once.

Had a lovely anniversary dinner here. Had asked for a romantic table by the window and I think we got the best spot with a view of the piece and the Ferris wheel. Service was spot on and very attentive. The food was amazing! We ordered courgette tempura, Pilchard with gooseberries, lamb and an amazing steak with truffle shavings. It was all brilliant and we had an amazing memorable time. Would highly recommend!

What an absolute gem! We visited this place in 2021 during a day trip to Cambridge. If you are ever visiting Cambridge, I highly recommend PT for an amazing lunch.

Food is excellent. My favourite dishes were Winter Wiltshire truffle risotto and Salmon. They have really good meat free selection as well. Don’t forget to order triple cooked chips for the side. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Wish they had a branch in London.

Highly recommended!

Disappointing.
Booked as a special birthday lunch. Even though when booking you are asked if it is a special occasion, nobody asked whose birthday it was or acknowledge it at all.
Portions were small and we left hungry.
Service was lacking in so many ways. Waited ages between courses. Staff were not interested.
Were told that they had no truffles left for the coffee and chocolates but there were bags of them on the side in the bar area. Two of the party ordered the ice cream and the two were very different portion sizes. Had there been a choice to leave a tip, I wouldn’t have but 12.50% service charge is added on regardless.
Very expensive for what you get (£9 for one beer)
Sadly, would not recommend.

Traditional British food served in a lovely room with lots of light, big windows, good decor and ambiance. The duck is good. The bolognese has a lot of meat fat in it I don’t recommend it.

4.5 stars. I loved my steak, it was really well seasoned; the chips and tartare sauce were also really good. However, my friend who ordered the lamb was fairly unhappy with the size of the portion, although also good in taste. The friend who ordered the risotto was fairly happy with it, although it was a starter. All in all, if you are hungry, go for a steak!

Had a lovely Festive Afternoon Tea at Parker's Tavern on New Year's Eve. The afternoon tea is in the Library, which is nice since it's a quieter and cozier space than the main restaurant. The festive tweaks to the normal afternoon tea menu were inventive and cute and everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
