A truly unique and very special dining experience. Andy and his team provided an exquisite tasting menu full of imagination and superb combinations.

The exclusively English wine pairing is an absolute revelation. The passion and attention to detail is tangible in everything they do and the fantastic atmosphere and attentive but unintrusive service was exemplary.

They have only been open for a week, but if any start up deserves support and success then Black and Green in Barnt Green is certainly more than deserving.

We had the most fabulous experience here last night. They have nailed it completely, down to every last detail. Such a lovely intimate setting, it felt like a dinner party. The wagyu was the best I’ve ever had. I had the first oyster that I’ve ever actually enjoyed and even the cheeseboard was delicious. I loved that you can pick wine pairings individually as sometimes it can be too much doing a whole flight. The staff bring the whole restaurant to life, engaging and laid back with a lot of humour which we enjoyed. Great with friends and can imagine it being perfect for a romantic evening too. Such a good job, hope it does really well. Really nice addition to the village!

We dinner at the restaurant last weekend and have to say we were blown away by the attention to detail from all the staff but the food. The food was amazingly presented with the most wonderful tastes. We have booked to visit again and also their restaurant in Birmingham. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to book here

The food was outstanding. The intimate restaurant creates the perfect dining experience. The waiters are very attentive and having the chef tell you the menu every now and again makes the experience special.
I am pregnant and Andrew catered to my dietary requirements. He went the extra mile to to ensure my food still tasted amazing.
I have been to many Michelin Star restaurants, this place deserves to be on that list.

Booked black and green with my partner and friends on Friday evening after hearing great feedback. I went thinking what I had heard was potentially an exaggeration. People saying that is best restaurant in the region is a high mantle.
To put it simply they were right and I was wrong to doubt.
The food was exquisite and the service was exceptional
The cleaver and admirable ethos of English and Welsh wine is brave and it works, who ever said we can’t make wine is clearly wrong. The atmosphere is friendly and chilled, it’s as people say it is amazing.

Fantastic experience at Black and Green. Attentive service, some of the best food I have ever eaten, and a beautiful setting. Get in there quick before this gets a Michelin Star and the prices rocket!

Unbelievable experience and the most delicious food we’ve ever had.
I was hesitant to book for my wife’s birthday but I’m so glad I did- she enjoyed everything about the tasting menu with wine pairings.

Had tasting menu and wine pairing. Lots of creative courses, lovely English wine, all worked brilliantly together. Restaurant itself very small with kitchen right there in front of you. Great night, friendly knowledgeable team, looking forward to going again.
