We have eaten here a number of times now and every time we have been greeted happily and offered some really good food. Starters for me don't have many options I would choose from but that's me. Mains and desserts have lots to choose from and I'm yet to be disappointed.

This is an unassuming restaurant with only a few tables so booking ahead is recommended.

Delicious roast dinner, followed by sumptuous desserts. Exactly what was needed after a long day out exploring!
Great, friendly service too :)

Simply put, the food was amazing along with the service. A year ago, my parents and brothers family came here. Dad said it was the best food ever. We came back this year with myself and my family for my dad's 70th. The owners remembered them from a year ago, right down to the table they sat at. All the meals from start to finish were amazing. I had the mussels to start and the duo of beef. Sauce for the mussels as nice as any I've had, and the bread served with it was different but absolutely amazing.
The duo of beef , cooked to perfection with a nice rich sauce. The sides were delightful , with way too much left over which is better than asking for more.
Overall, I would definitely return here. A couple who love and respect the food they serve along with the customers they serve.

Great service and delicious food. The portions are very generous. We booked in advance via email which was promptly replied to. Our small dog was welcomed at one of their dog friendly tables. We would definitely return.

Fantastic food and service upon our visit last week. Very attentive and (medium) rare that a chef comes out to check his meals are okay for the customers, great touch 👌...we went for the Black Pudding Stack and Mushroom/Goat's cheese to start with steak and lamb for mains. Great portions as well and is a must for any visit or stay nearby!

This is by far the nicest restaurant I have ever been to.
Run by a husband and wife. The wife hosts, the husband cooks and the are both brilliant at their jobs. The food is fantastic and oh my, the puddings 😍
Clean, tidy and friendly. Very much worth a visit!

We were in the area for the bank holiday weekend. We booked here and were not disappointed. The food was subline.. The main I had rack of lamb and it was one of the best lamb I have ever tasted. Cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. My other half had the duck whish again was amazing. Desserts we had creme brulee and strawberry mousse.. Both amazing and so tasty and perfectly presented.

The atmosphere and hosts were so lovely and very attentive to our needs. I cannot recommend this place enough
