Absolutely beautiful food and professional service 🤩
I’ve nearly given up trying British food but today this mint lamb pie after a fabulous patè starter completely changed my mind. Beautiful plates, all (7) of us enjoyed our meals and drinks, and the reasonable price is on top of the experience 😊

Covid seems to have completely changed the food scene - it used to be that 'most places' had decent food - now you have to hunt out the good ones, like this. You could tell the food was home-cooked, not frozen. The starters were original, and tasty (the Welsh rarebit fritters were delicious, and well presented), and the main courses all enjoyable. Staff were friends, good with kids, and attentive. One minor niggle is it would be good to see the vegetarian choices (of which I was pleased to see several) at no more than the price of the meat dishes.

Very happy to recommend, and we'll certainly return.

A beautiful little restaurant! We had a great evening from the start to the end! Very friendly and welcoming staff, a quiet and familiar atmosphere and the food was absolutely amazing (taste as well as the presentation). You could tell it was all homemade.
Even though we were very full after our main we had to try the dessert as well and it didn’t disappoint. We’ll definitely come back!

Once again we enjoyed a lovely meal. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very thoughtful. Thank you for taking the trouble to serve my husband some of your lovely calves liver. The special touches really matter. We shall soon return.

Excellent. First time we called on speck. No tables available but the brilliant batrman booked us a table elsewhere!! So this time we booked. The menu is soooo good that even a fussy eater like me could find several choices (a definite change). And to top it off the most amazing dessert (I'm not a very big eater and certainly rarely go for a pudding). How I managed the journey home I don't know I was?so full!! However I slept better than I have for a long time. Don't miss this gem.

Food: would really recommend the Welsh steak burger. My partner doesn't typically like beef burgers but loved this dish. Every component was delicious. The seafood paella wasn't amazing but still good. The desserts options are great.

Service: really friendly service, took great care of our dog and brought biscuits and water.

Atmosphere: we booked via the website/email which was very easy to arrange. Was seated in the "dog friendly" area so had the whole area to ourselves. Very nice place.
