Blue Diamond Cardiff Restaurant

Stopped for an afternoon tea. It was quite busy (for a Wednesday afternoon) but it is a very large space with a high ceiling, so it doesn't feel crowded even when busy. The afternoon tea was nice, I chose a fruit scone. My order came quickly and the scone was warm which was a nice touch. (One side note is that if you would like an extra pot of jam you have to pay 85p for another pot).
I had a black coffee which was great. Nice size mugs too.
Overall a good experience and I will return.

Nice place to have lunch inside Blooms.
If you are going just for coffee and cake avoid lunchtime as it gets busy.
Quick service and spotless tables.
However the chairs are uncomfortable if you choose the larger tables with metal seats.

It was very busy at lunch on a Saturday with an hour wait for food, but we were told this up front and the staff were all working very hard. I really appreciate the menu showing gluten free and that the fish and chips are gluten free - best gluten free batter I've had. The kids picnic bag option was excellent value for my son and my husband was happy with his sandwich.

Finally managed to get here early enough to go for brunch, and wasn't disappointed. Much like the rest of the food at the garden centre here, it was top notch, fresh, and delicious! Whenever we've been the food and drink have been excellent, and the customer service and cleanliness flawless. The rest of the garden centre is great too, whether that be for plants, ornaments, the deli, clothes, garden or homeware. Add in that the staff are always lovely, and you can see why people, including us, always go back!

Came to do bit of shopping and decided to had some food and drink. The restaurant was close in half and and when asked if we could have a table in the cloesd half was declined and was told it was getting cleaned? the other side which was open was full. There must of been 20+ tables free in the closed part, surely they could of got staff to clean some of them!
We weren't the only people who turn back and walk back out.
Potentially lost a few customers and some profit.

Very spacious, dog friendly restaurant with plenty of space between the tables. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Service was great and a fabulous breakfast , couldn't fault well worth a visit.

I loved it there, we were a group of 17- They reserved two tables together for us, we all had Amazing meal's and the cake desserts were mind blowing gorgeous. The staff were constantly in the run, never stopped as we did notice, How quickly our order's came, wonder afternoon there, we'll be Back 🤗
