We went to mill farm this weekend on the recommendation of a friend but after our stay won’t be recommending to any of our friends. First of all trying to book was a nightmare myself and my friend were personally promised call backs within 24 hours and my friend still hasn’t had a call back and neither have I for the weekend we were asking about. To start our stay reception was closed so we were directed to the bar where they were checking people in, the girls didn’t have any maps left so left me for 20 minutes to find one which didn’t start the weekend off great. We then found that the parks were mostly dirty and covered in bird poo to the point half of it was unusable and the slide left my little one covered in poo stains, the sand pit provided was full of rubbish also. The boating lake was filthy dirty as were the boats so I wouldn’t have wanted to sit in one. The arcade area was very small and half of the machines were not working. The swimming pool was okay and my little one did enjoy himself but again it wasn’t very clean and the lockers provided would barely have fit a hand bag in rather less a bag for a family of 3+. The evening entertainers were great so that was a plus! All in all we won’t be back to mill farm which is a shame as we had hoped we could possibly return multiple times with friends over the rest of 2022 but after the experience we have had the weekend this won’t be the case. We also left a day early so we can make the most of our bank holiday Monday as there wasn’t enough there to spend a 4th day. I’ve personally been to other campsites that have cost less that are better value for money.

It's a nice camping site with some lovely hills to walk down in the morning for a shower on the holiday I had here meant years ago. Plus some nostiaglic arcade machines of the best games such as Point Blank and even Radmobile if I remember

If you don't mind children whizzing about on bikes and electric scooters all day and most of the evening you will be fine. Sadly, "an accident waiting to happen".
The club house is like the "Phoenix" very dated. The children's entertainment at the club in the evening is deafening.
The shower blocks do not have mops for users to leave the showers clean after showering. There are problems with showers not working and doors that get stuck. Reception staff although pleasant don't seem to know the layout of the camp and don't have the inclination to act on feedback regarding issues.
One evening the fire exit had a chair mounted on the bar!

Great location and lovely site. The kid's loved it, lot's to do for them to be kept occupied and happy.

The site itself could be very nice. Nice location, and staff helpful when needed. It does need a little update in areas. Unfortunately i think alot of people have seasonal home's there, and I can honestly say, I have never seen so many 'youths ' on electric scooters in one place. Sometimes the language coming from these young teens was not really appropriate for a family site. Shame, as a bit of work on site, and could be lovel. Ban mouthy kids and scooters🤣🤣

Had our first visit on a Saturday in October. (Off peak season) Was me my wife and 2 girls.

Unfortunately wasn't impressed, had a large group of teens swarming around with no parents in sight.

Seemed to be everywhere, boisterous, snogging in the pool, screaming and fighting in changing rooms and the trampoline room. Staff were young and had mind's elsewhere.

Trampoline room had young girl supervising too many out of control kids (no parents) had headphones in and hood up sat in corner.

Swimming pool was full of dirt and sediments floating around, wish I forgot my goggles because it was a nice little pool, warm and fun slide for kids, again overshadowed by unruly youths.
Lifeguard was sat listening to his speaker, on his phone and too busy to watch anyone.
Outdoor pool was closed (off season)

Boating pool was just a couple of wet boats available filled with old apples so didn't bother.

Bmx track not maintained or worth a visit but kids did have fun.

Shame as I can see the park has loads of potential and is local to me.

May have just been a bad visit due to the guests which we had the company of, but was a bit disappointed by the whole experience.

Sited on mill farm for 1 season but won't be staying for another year. The site itself is kept quite clean, including the clubhouse, shower block toilets etc. The entertainment is what youd expect at a caravan park so cant really complain. The majority of the staff are friendly apart from the man who regularly works in the shop. The chip shop and ice cream shop are also a plus with a good selection.

Negatives include the kids parks which are not suitable for young children. All the slides are steep and made from metal and dated. There is no choice in the parks and kids will get bored after 1 visit. The boating lake was a good idea but unfortuently looks filthy. Nice gym but scandalous how seasonal pitchers are charged at all let alone £7 to use it when theyve already paid £2900 for 9 months to be there. The clubhouse as mentioned is OK but they don't show any live sport which makes a pub a bit pointless. You can't even stream any sport from your caravan because the mobile signal and chargeable WiFi is poor. Beware of Keith the awning man who makes out he has a specialist role putting awnings up on site. He'll charge you for every peg he puts in the ground, then slate your awning and then let you know he has a better one on sale in his van. Will also tell you many tales about everyone on site. He knows everyones business. Finally the barrier onsite is a disaster waiting to happen. Drive through at your own risk.

Lovely campsite and loads to do for kids only thing that let it down was the cleanliness of the toilet and shower blocks once a day isn’t enough when so many people use it, needs to be checked and done at least 3-4 times a day as most places we go our cleaned every hour, as at one stage there was no hand soap at all. Also pitches need to be marked out a bit better to make it clear how big the pitch is. Other than that we loved our stay and so did the children.
