We had a fantastic Easter, 4-day break at Valleyside Escapes. Everything is well thought out and you want for nothing on site. All the best places to visit are within a short car journey.

Recommend the Bear Trail and Saddles and Paddles for a trip up the river to the Double Locks Pub.

Very dog and child friendly,

Emma and Matt are great hosts and on hand should you need them to impart local knowledge.

We will be back and will bring friends.

Simon, Kelly and family.

We booked all of the luxury tents for a weekend gathering to celebrate a family birthday. Valleyside Escapes was the perfect location from the access to the river and the pathway to Tiverton and Bickleigh Mill. Emma and Matt were the perfect hosts and were on hand at all times to answer any questions and help us have a great weekend. Emma prepared the tents in advance with ballon's and bunting so that our birthday girl had a real surprise on arrival along with a Birthday Cake.
This was just fabulous and got the weekend off to a great start. There was so much for our small ones to do and with it being self contained we never felt worried or anxious on what they were doing. The Luxury Tents had everything we wanted from supplied bedding, welcome pack and logs! The Bathroom and Kitchen facilities were well equipped and spotless. We would certainly recommend and certainly intend to revist.

We just enjoyed a week here and had a lovely time. The site and tent we stayed in was lovely with an absolutely killer view and great amenities. Right next to us was a small play area, and up the hill boules for those who enjoy it.
The owners are very friendly and have an honesty shed where one can stock up on essentials and also borrow some games/activities for children and adults alike.
The only downside to our stay was the hot water (which is always a blessing and I cannot but go Grr at my privilege writing this): it was very temperamental and I found myself often waiting a very long time for it to run hot, including in the shower, which was hot/cold/hot/cold every minute or so.

A few final notes, if one brings very young children (which we did), be aware to use the toilet when they're sleeping means opening the zip+velcro door which is quite loud and might wake lighter sleepers, and lastly, the second bedroom doesn't really have ample space when the travel cot is erected - we had to have a shift around of the beds to fit us all in.

Other than that we really had a good time, and the miniature railway down the hill is a must! Do go and visit the chickens and the super-friendly sheep while here. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

We had the most magical time at Valley Escapes. It is super clean, lovely complimentary food and bathroom products to use. The hosts are super friendly and accomodated out special diets with the welcome pack. It's our go to destination in Devon.

A fantastic few days away!
Lovely, welcoming hosts, beautiful location and luxury glamping tents. Everything has been thought of to make your stay enjoyable. The little extras such as milk, fresh bread, jam, tea, coffee and marshmallows for toasting were really appreciated.
Our granddaughter loved the play area and having the terrace with an outside eating area was an added bonus. Fantastic bathrooms too!😊
The location offers easy access to the coast, beautiful walks and plenty of other activities for both adults and children. We would all love to stay again and highly recommend Valleyside Escapes.

My son asked to go camping for his 11th birthday which I was dreading, so I decided to find an alternative. I am so happy I found Valleyside Escapes! My husband and I took 3 of our children and our 2 dogs for 2 nights and had a lovely time, despite the wet weather. The location is beautiful, overlooking a vineyard, and the safari tent had everything we needed. Emma and her daughter greeted us with a thoughtful welcome pack and had made cupcakes for my son’s birthday. In fact there are plenty of thoughtful touches, such as blankets and hot water bottles for cold nights. I would happily recommend Valleyside Escapes, I have never been one for camping and I was thoroughly impressed! Thank you Emma and Matt 😊

We didn’t know what expect when we booked Valleyside Escapes but our expectations were more than exceeded!!! The ‘tents’ were spotless and well- equipped and comfortable. Our children loved the ‘snug’ raised sleeping area. The views from the tent were incredible and they have a small play area and bowling court for kids and adults. Exmoor and Dartmoor are easily accessible as well as many beaches to the North and South of Devon. The owners were really welcoming and were on hand with any advice or help should you need it. Will definitely be returning!!
