Great cosy cottage with a stream nearby which kept the children happy

Great location, clean comfortable cottage

Really enjoyed our weekend stay here. The cottage we stayed in was well equipt with all the kitchen essentials and a good shower too. As a working farm lots of animals about and we had the chance to meet the animals, which was lovely. It's in a quiet spot but not too far from Keswick for local amenities. There is a pub close by for drinks and meals out.

We were visiting family, who were staying at the Puddleduck cottages. There are a selection of cottages to suit different size groups. The owners are very friendly. It is a working farm and they were happy to let us and our 2 grandchildren have a look around the barn to see a few new born lambs.
There is a river just across the road from the cottages with ducks and geese, it was full and fast flowing due to recent weather, usually it is quite shallow, so that you could wade across in wellies. There are some swings and a springy rocker!
The Cottages are beautiful and well equipt. They are located close to Bassenthwaite and are convenient for getting to Keswick, Cockermouth, Caldbeck and lots of other places. Well worth checking out.

The cottage was like stepping back into the past. Low original beams and a log burner. Nothing was modernised except the bathroom. Lovely friendly owner who we chatted to often and she gave really good advice about things to see and do in the area.

We stayed here for 7 days and This is a lovely place to stay, the cottages was clean and tidy, very welcoming and lovely people. We stayed for my sisters 18th birthday and they gave her a card and wished her a happy birthday would we stay again most definitely.
