South Lakeland Leisure Village

Really enjoyed my stay here. Location to lakes,is perfect. Lovely and clean lodge, considering its pet friendly. Lovely well kept park. Very spacious and well equipped lodge. Very good leisure facilities and reception staff and leisure staff very courteous and helpful. Pool and changing area was very clean and had everything you needed. Could not get in the restaurant as txwss fully booked but had a beer in the afternoon and the menu looked nice. Lovely lakeside views from our lodge.Only downside is there is no
where to let dogs off lead for,a play. Apart
from that all was top notch .

For starters when we got into the lodge it was tidy and smart, their was the odd few things wrong with it, some of the light bulbs was not working one in the bathroom and several in the kitchen.
Secondly their was quiet a few spiders which had not been cleaned properly.
Also the bins outside had not been emptied for the whole week we was their. Overall it was a nice peaceful
Stay and plenty of things to do around the area.

We love this place. It’s beautiful, well maintained, safe and peaceful. It has a lake where you could sit by while children play at the mini beach area. You could also use self owned dingy on water. Some properties provide a dingy as a value addition so remember to check while booking.

Just returned from a beautiful 4 night stay with my grandchildren. A lovely relaxing place to unwind. Staff on reception were professional and friendly and the accommodation itself (BH21) was clean, luxurious and a pleasure to wake up in. Will definitely return.

We have just come home from Barney's Retreat and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay amazing even including our dog in the welcome pack with treats a lovely thought. The site was very quiet and all staff were helpful and again very dog friendly even in the restaurant where we had a lovely meal would highly recommend it. Thanks so much to Natasha and her mum for all they did for us we will definitely be coming back ❤

Had and excellent break over Christmas break great facilities on site what an amazing lodge we stayed in definitely will visit again

Our first visit and certainly won't be our last 30th Dec 22 til 2nd Jan 23. 2 bedroom bronze lodge, booked by my husband who was half expecting to have to upgrade. The accommodation was lovely and so warm and cosy and the location was perfect, Arnside 5. We ate in the Water's edge on NYE the food was great, staff attentive and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Looking forward to our next visit.

It was a beautiful place to stay, our lodge was overlooking the lake and we went during December so it had a lovely christmassy feel for the kids and was very picturesque
