Cornerstones Self Catering Accommodation

My wife and I stayed here at the end of a almost 3 week vacation, venturing around Scotland and ending up here before getting home and we was so looking forward to it! The pictures really don't do the location justice and the place it's self was on first impression is amazing. However after you look a little deeper and see some of the quality of fitting, the mould in the shower, the large amount of cobwebs and the dirt on the amazing bathroom floor, you're just left wondering, what if?

This is a beautifully located B & B and the breakfast is really good quality. Parking in Llangollen is an issue as it is with any popular town and you have to get your pass from Cornerstones to entitle you to free parking within the town. However it is free and it is pretty close, just be aware if you have mobility issues at all!

You get a very warm welcome and the area you have to chill and relax is really first class. You have an excellent range of tea's, coffee and other beverages, as well as biscuits in your room.

Llangollen is ideally situated for Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury and more. Our only wish is that the cleanliness of the place and attention to detail had been a little bit better. Then I would have no problem at all giving a full 5 out of 5, shame really!!

A gift from our kids for my husband's 65th Birthday. The whole experience was absolutely fabulous. The hotel is outstanding & the location is perfect. We stayed in the Castle/River room & it was magnificent, the best hotel by far. Breakfast was truly unbelievable & the whole experience was very welcoming as was the owner. We will be going back for sure.

Fantastic B & B. Friendly, welcome, extreemly clean and quirky. Comfortable bed, amazing bathroom with everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent quality with locally sourced produce. Perfect for our wedding anniversary. Highly recommended.

We spent lovely 2 nights in River room at Cornerstone. The interiors were exceptional with a cosy entrance throughout the breakfast lounge to the room we stayed in.
The room itself was fully equipped: a selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. Also there was a great choice of DVDs to watch available.
The bathroom was magnificent! You could really feel like a royal when having your bath!
The breakfast was also exceptional and the great thing was, you could ring up and get out freshly made to order.
The hosts give you space, that's including self -check in, what we really appreciated.
Highly recommended, one of a kind place to stay in Llangolen!

We had the pleasure to stay in this beautiful B and B, September 2019 5th in the River view room. The claw footed bath sitting in the centre of this huge underlit bathroom was a touch of heaven, the view over the river, the perfect location, this cosy ,history soaked building was presented beautifully , with a delicious breakfast cooked for you so personally . The local shops around the corner every thing was so pleasant. Finding this treasure for two travelling Australians couldn't have been more pleased lucking onto this B and B Thank you for making it so special .Worth five stars all the way.

Stayed here with my partner this weekend and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We stayed in The Castle Room and it was beautiful. Staff were lovely and helpful. The owner Carol is spectacular! Breakfast was delicious and the view was even better. Can't wait to come back!

No parking outside the property as it's a narrow street, you can pull up and drop off bags etc then park up at the term parking only two minutes walk away.
Property is non descript from the outside and backs onto the river Dee, inside it's huge.
Note the low header beams over the doors and on the stairs, one caught me 😵

Kitchen is downstairs and fully equipped with access to the garden. Two good size bedrooms, one with direct access to the huge bathroom with the stand alone roll top bath.
Top floor has a impressive bedroom with a double shower and Jacuzzi bath.

House has fantastic installation and has good central heating with two log fires in the frontroom and the dinning room.
Nice stay everyone was impressed with it.

Something to note I got changed twice for our stay which I only noted a day later, had to chase it up and was reimbursed a day later.
It's quite an expensive stay as you can only check in after three PM check out ten AM would I do it again 🤔

Very spacious "shabby chic" holiday cottage. My only criticism is a lack of detailed commentary/ explanation in the house manual for heating controls, wi-fi etc. Could have phoned owner, but we were very busy and anyway sorted most things ourselves. Enjoyed our stay very much!
