The person who works in this place seems to be quite good repairing shoes but he's very rude with the customers, even with his assistant, and he's not keen at all on helping the customers. I gave him a pair of sandals so he would shorten their band and he sent me home to measure the exact amount but it was not that clear for me, as I don't know anything about shoes. Once he did it and I paid 19£ I put them on and the band was too short. I came back to the place to tell him I was unhappy and he told me it was my fault and that he would charge me again to try to solve the problem. I will never come back to this place.

Great boot maintenance job. Eyelets repaired with better-than-original replacements. He knows his stuff and charges very fairly. An invaluable local business.

The owner of this shop was not able to repair very expensive pair of shoes I left with him. When I returned to collect them he was extremely rude for no real reason, maybe out of frustration or the claustrophobic working conditions effect the staff. I'd never return to this repair shop even if they were repairing shoes for free.

The owner prides himself on being the only cobbler locally that repairs Kickers when I would regularly bring my children’s school shoes there for repair. The last time I went there, the Kickers he repaired returned to their damaged state within a week. When I returned to show him the repair had failed, he refused to accept it was his workmanship despite me telling him I go to no other cobbler for kicker repairs as I know of no other. The owner is a joke, and extremely rude when he’s having a bad day.

A small shop with loads of experience. Shoe repairs, bag repairs and riding boot repairs the list goes on. Old school Repairer. It doesn't hurt to ask a question.

The owner is extremely experienced and knows exactly what he's doing when it comes to key cutting! I was given a key which didn't work. Based only on a few pieces of diagnostic information, the owner was able to figure out the likely culprit and then cut a modified version which worked perfectly. And he was kind enough to explain how that style of lock works and talked me through how he arrived at his conclusions! Well worth the £5, it saved me the cost of an emergency locksmith call out.
