A bad job was done, with new damage created to a pair of boots and shoes I took in to be re-soled. The wooden heel of one of the boots came back cracked and broken off from the main sole, right across the width of the shoe. When I pointed this out, I was told that it was not integral to the function of the boot. The shoes had damage to the leather and poor joins between the new and old parts of the soles (big gaps and messy glue with uneven finishes). When this was pointed out, an attempt was made to repair the leather damage with glue. Despite all of this full payment was taken for both pairs.Very disappointed with the service received and results of both. Did not see point in complaining more as the damage was done.

Update: 6 months later. Repair has fallen apart without much wear.

Eventually made use of this shop. Service was straight forward and work was good. I use NHS built-up shoes, no problem (National company 'Tim...' flat refused to touch them). Now located in South Street, Wellington (same road as Oxfam).

Enquired about fixing a torn (new) school rucksack and glueing school shoes (they still fit - just that Clarks are quite naff as we all know!) on Friday morning - given a timeframe to drop them in on a Saturday morning, told it would take 30 mins for both and that is exactly what happened. Fantastic! And only £6 - really grateful, thanks so much
