Show Me Shoes

Show Me Shows is an absolute gem of shop in Ilkeston.
The Owner really knows his shoes and goes above and beyond to help the customer, and was fantastic is getting my daughter set up with her first pair of shoes, especially after I had such poor service in a well known chain shoe store.
I've been able to get very sensible every day shoes from Show me Shoes, like my very comfortable Hotter shoes. And I love going there to get shoes for standing out. I LOVE my Joe Brown shoes!

I took both my children here today to get their school shoes. The man who served me was very helpful. Even with the queue of people he made me feel like the only customer in the shop, we wasn’t rushed at all. Very happy and I shall definitely return again.

Been in a few times now with my girls. From their first pair of shoes and my next pair will be my oldest first school shoes ❤️ Sam is fantastic with the kids, my youngest wouldn't let anyone put her first pair of shoes on her but Sam managed it in seconds and made her laugh aswell. Would highly recommend.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Absolute amazing customer service and a wide selection of shoes. Always goes above and beyond for my three children and we always leave happy with our purchases! I have to question if this shop is being ran as a business or a hobby, and they're opening hours certainly don't gather for the public.
They're always closed on Sundays and Wednesdays, and have been shut every day between Christmas and the new year....despite the door saying "open"!

Whilst I can't fault the friendly of the staff, and the range of footwear, they appear to have limited sizes available.

Also, please be aware that they DO NOT offer refunds. If you return something that's not faulty, they only offer an exchange or credit note. This is despite there being no sign that I could see, advising you of this. Taking a credit note when they're opening hours are so limited (they don't open until 10am), can prove challenging.

If they considered opening at times better suited to their customers, openly advertised their returns policy, then this could be a little cracker. Until then, please be aware of its limitations.
