Ordered a sofa. After three months delivery fails because sofa can't fit into the door.. We have a bigger sofa in the living room, which turns out to be made of two parts which are bolted.. When I was signing the papers nobody discussed the specific details of the construction of the new sofa and we have standard door frames so I do suspect I was not unreasonable to sign based on this information. Now Sofa workshop (DFS) demands an extra payment of £400 to make this sofa in two parts so that it fits.. Which we are not happy to pay.. Retailer is not replying and shows zero interest in resolving this. I was told by the shop worker that DFS has good lawyers and my signature on the papers means this only my fault.
