Went shopping for some new shoes, to prepare for school to start up again. I was very excited to finally be buying my dream shoes however the experience I had was truly awful. As soon as I walked into the store I saw a customer stood over a dead rodent and being handed a mop by an unusually small man in uniform. I wondered what he was doing but carried on as today I had just been paid and nothing was stopping me from buying my new pair of Jordan 1 retro high varsity reds. As I continued my journey through the store, it became clear I wasn’t going to be able to find these shoes on my own, I needed some assistance. I started looking for members of staff and was appalled to see a girl who looked about 17 being yelled at by an irritatingly small man who despite his very short height looked at least 40. He was holding a broom and waiving it at the 17 year olds face while 2 customers ( presumably brother and sister) awkwardly watched and waited. After a bit more searching I found no other staff members and time was running out. I had no other choice but to try and ask this abnormally small man if he knew where the shoes were. As I nervously approached the malformed man I nervously looked to the side and saw a CUSTOMER mopping up a dead rodent which was extremely damaging to see, no customer should have to do that sort of thing, it was scary to think that it could’ve been me mopping up that rat if I had arrived a bit earlier. I reached the warped man and he stopped yelling and just turned and stared at me. Nervously I asked, “Do you have any Jordan 1’s?” I received no reply, just a huge sigh and then he turned and continued to yell at this poor young girl in front of another customer and his sister, I was in awe. The service is terrible and I would not recommend coming here. I went to JD which was next door and was met by a very polite and young man (who was average height) he instantly showed me where the shoes were and gave me a discount after hearing the horrific experience I had in Sports Direct. It’s sad to see I can’t leave a 0 star review so I’ll leave a 1 star review and it’s sad to say, after being a loyal customer for 15 years, I won’t be coming back to sports direct ever again. It was a very very scary and unpleasant experience. I made sure to tell the person mopping up the rat and the people who had to witness a distorted man scream at a young girl to also leave reviews and warn people not to go.

An absolutely appalling experience in Sports direct.Whilst shopping with my brother and sister, within the first 10 minutes of entering the store looking to purchase new footwear, my eye caught a dead rodent by the side of the shelves. After calling over the little minion of a manager to report the incident, i was absolutely in shock when he declared we had to take care of the rat, “whoever found it cleans it”. I guess that wasn’t the only rat in the store. We will never be shopping here again and I recommend an exterminator for the unusually small manchild they decided to put on charge

the manager (with the height of a dwarf) breath was so bad that I had to leave the whole retail park and go to footasylum in town instead, lucky for me they had better shoes anyway.

Went shopping with my sister to buy new shoes, when requesting assistance from a below average height male manager, he proceeded to abuse me and some random employee. He shouted at me for interrupting his mopping, and then yelled at some teenage girl. I never got the assistance I required, and went to JD instead. I will never shop here again.

Great sports & outdoors store selling a huge variety in sports clothing and equipment over 2 floors. Now with an Evans Cycles department upstairs.
3 stars due their ridiculously high pricing for Rugby & football team clothing. Thin regular sports shirts for £75 and £105 is outrageous with negative comments by other shoppers every visit. Come on Sports Direct, use your might to set a new customer (fan) friendly pricing structure. Put your customers first. Look after them and they will look after you with loyalty.
As a Rugby fan I have bought all my Team gear elsewhere for the past 20+ years.

Service is slow. The sales people are mostly young people. They just don't wanna be there, they will pass by and ignore you. And if after 20 minutes you are luck enough to find someone willing to help you, and you didn't find what you want. They will look at you with that disgusting face. Like :"why did you waste my time then?"

Very helpful staff, professional and polite, the store was very clean and well laid out, staff happy to stop their tasks and help, and with a smile too!
