Sports Direct

I stopped off at this store recently when in Burnley to see my former co-workers, nearly a year after my temporary contract expired in January 2021. There is no bias in reviewing now that I haven't worked there in around a year so to begin my actual assessment, the manager patiently waited to speak to me and was rather welcoming when he did! We had a catch-up with each other and he found the only other person who worked with me, a gracious act that made for a fun conversation. The products on sale were very good, but I did not buy any because I live in Skipton where there is also a Sports Direct so it would be impractical to do that from one so far away.

Refusing statutory rights to refund on returns.
Manager and staff adamant that only credit notes given despite their own signage referencing statutory rights.
Be a savy consumer and avoid like the plague, I will
If anyone from trading standards is reading, please let me know. I will gladly help you in a case against them

wanted to change some clothes bought in july but because of my health was not able to do thus in time. i went to the shop knowing the time to return had passed so didnt expect anything but the lovely supervisor went out of his way and spoke to the manager who was happy to let me change the items. may god bless you

Store is fine. Not sure I agree with their no refund policy just credit notes but I'm sure it's legal

Staff seem disinterested and stock very poor. Went in for a football shirt and there was only about 6 shirts of the odd team and most were toddler size

Absolute rubbish. I hate it when staff are non-existent. I was wandering up and down looking for an assistant to get me a size nine in a trainer I was interested in buying and there was nobody. I found one guy posted at a station near the front door that was no were near the trainers. He got me a size nine but it was to be picked up at the till but the queue was at least 5 people and I hadn't even tried them on. I jumped the queue but after trying them on they were too small. The assistant told me I would have to take them back to the guy who got them sent to the front desk so I did. They didn't have the next size up so I left frustrated to shop elsewhere. Useless!

Ignorant staff member, talks to you like he's some kind of boss when he's not even in charge of his own bladder. Needs to learn some respect for customers

Worst shopping experience ever!!!
Never gonna be here anymore. Staff was so rude and at worst attitude!
