Sports Direct

Customer service is just appalling. I found a shoe online but was not sure about the size. So I went to the store and asked a staff to check whether the product is available in store. He was just roaming around for a bit in the shoes section and went back to his work without even an apology. It's just rude and awful. I had to ask another staff; he had the courtesy to check and tell me that its not available in store.
All staff should be trained to provide proper service to customers. Managers should take care of this!

I find their staff at the counters downstaors rude and un helpful. Also I have attempted to ring them to save a wasted journey into town but they answer and hang up all the time. Pathetic excuse of a company! Update: having been back there the chap on the upstairs on football boots and walking shoes centre is 100% alone and dealing with 5-10 customers at any one time. Woefully understaffed!

Bought a new pair of trainers, but the kid who took the payment did not remove the security tag.
Walked out of the store only to get collared by two members of security on Southampton High Street. I was 'escorted' back into the store and accused of shoplifting, despite showing them the receipt.
I had to demand they play back the CCTV before they would believe me and let me go.
Finally get home only to discover that the trainers in the box were two different sizes......

Refused to honour price tag. Manager refused to give his name. Head Office refused to intervene because it was an in store purchase. AVOID

I went in the other day, it’s a large store with lots of variety in different shoes and clothing. I found that the customer service was okay and very polite. Even though it was very busy. The prices were good and cheaper than other shoe shops in the area.

What an absolutely miserable place to shop. Quite literally the worst place to buy anything in Southampton. Seemingly the rules from head office mean that staff stood around with nothing to do can't help you because you're trying trying to buy something from a section that isn't theirs to cover and they can't leave their space.

You can't find what you need, and staff aren't allowed to help you get what you need. It's a complete farce.

And good luck if you order online for collection in store, there's zero signage on where to go, staff aren't sure either and when you do get to the right place there's a problem because the parcel is on a high shelf and there's boxes in the way for the staff member to use a ladder to get to it.

I feel sorry for the staff if the reports of how they're treated by head office are true.

I'd rather go have root canal treatment than step foot in Sports Direct again.

One star for the location of being in the middle of the city, another for the large variety of stock. That’s it!
A Saturday afternoon….
I wanted some work waterproof safety boots and tried a pair for size. There was no staff there and l managed to get a young ladies attention but she seemed abrupt and disappeared out of sight! I then looked around the place for another member of staff…no one!
It’s a Saturday afternoon in the city and there’s a handful of staff at the till but virtually no one else available???
I walked out of the store in frustration and will never buy anything from here again.
Amazon it is.
Useless.

I really like the variety of products in this store, the prices are also good, but the service is terrible. I tried to exchange a pair of sneakers that I bought online and I was very poorly attended, the wait for someone to help me was enormous. And when being attended to, the feeling was that the seller was irritated, but everyone is always like that there. Finally, to go to this store you have to be patient.
