Not a very exciting shop. Overstocked shelves not easy to find what you need. Two staff on tills but no one to help on floor. The post office is staffed with chattering people with little interest in customer service makes you long for return of real post offices. Sad!

This store although small does carry a good selection of items. The down side is you can never find a member of staff to ask questions unless you stand in the checkout line and wait your turn. Always clean and tidy and clear aisles.

Overpriced and as dim as a cave. Staff are nice but honestly the only reason to go is to use the post office since the proper one has been taken away in Beeston. Even then, mostly I walk the few hundred yards down the street to the other post office to avoid this, as it is never well staffed.

Appalling over priced stock. Dark n gloomy store. Post office part is the worst. Rude incompetent staff. Always too busy getting their Costa coffees to do their job properly. Complaints have been made, but no one cares

W. H. SMITH, BEESTON, NOTTINGHAM now contains the local POST OFFICE.
Therefore the W. H. SMITH variety of stock has depleted greatly.
OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS:
I have walked around the store attempting to find particular products, which would of been available previously.
Each time, I have approached members of staff relating to the availability of products which I required, they were baffled and unable to adequately respond.
They were so naive, that they did not know the correct procedure when products are not available.
I have previously worked in the retail sector, where I helped train new full and part-time members of staff, plus Saturday staff (+16 year old college or university students).
Each member of staff were taught how to order products, either through the Head Office who would deliver the item in the next weekly delivery, or by contacting other branches of the company to transfer the required item through the weekly delivery.

Come on W. H. SMITHS please update your staff training schedule, obviously, I must not be the only client that have enquired about products.
We will all be contacting and purchasing from publishers directly.
If I had been able to purchase the product there and then I may have purchased additional products, instead I went to the other local stationery outlet where I was able to purchase all of my additional products. When I returned home, I immediately ordered my required item which W. H. SMITHS could not provide.
COME ON W. H. SMITHS!!!

Personally I find that WHSmiths is a good place to go for stationary equipment and books. The overall quality of products sold here are good and long lasting. The staff here are helpful and will assist the best possible way.
