If I was a potential shopper looking for A book go to Waterstones which is only a two min walk away !!!
No I would not recommend this shop at all .
They decided to put all the books for very young children in the only place upstairs that has either two steep steps down to get to or a small flight of steps down to get to.
So I go down the steps to get in, fine, then can't get the pram out again because the steps are so steep, not even going to attempt the small flight of stairs. Had to put my books down that I wanted to buy and then caught my leg in between the step and the pram (so thanks for my lovely bruises).
Got to the till and asked the lady if anybody had ever mentioned that it was actually quite difficult to get in and out of the children's section with a pram (as I would imagine a lot of people would have with them) got a very unenthusiastic 'yeah, a few people have mentioned it' in response.
Can see why they rank so low in shopping experience every year when this type of store planning is in play.
The basic supplies and parts I've gotten at this shop have lasted me well and I'm still actively using most today.
They also stock a large range of other magazines covering everything from philosophy to fashion and pop culture.
You also have the opportunity to buy pricey stationery and lever arch folders boasting pastel designs.
Along with a selection of books that seem to be largely of the Richard and Judy Book Club variety. If you enjoy a middle class romance novel about a potter called Amelia who moves to the Cotswolds and has a wild fling with the bad boy of sheep farming, Josh Squarejaw, then fill your boots.
The staff seem to have largely lost the will to live, and I don't blame them. They are working for a retail dinosaur whose days are surely numbered.
