Being a South African I've always judged British meat harshly. We really do have great steak. But at Miller and Carter I was made to say nothing but, well done you've cracked it. What a great meal. Well done I was blown away at the quality and service.

Proper steakhouse. Really enjoyed their so called grill experience. They also have a nice selection of wines and beers and the desert recomand by the atendive stuff was delicious.

I visited the 'Riverhead' restaurant in Amherst Hill, Sevenoaks, Kent, with my wife and Brother-in-law weekday around 12 noon on Tuesday 23/8/22. This modernised 'period' Inn the Riverhead is located in an attractive area in Sevenoaks, a fine restaurant in food and service it proved to be on our visit - a credit to Miller & Carter. The varied quality menu had plenty of excellent steak choices, with a rather detailed side dish menu to add to your steak. I thoroughly enjoyed my whole three course lunch; Prawn & Crab cocktail ( starters), a 10oz Black Angus Filet Mignon steak ( main) served with chosen sides 'Three peppercorn' sauce 'DELICIOUS, ' and classic Vinaigrette with Saule'ed greens. Then followed by sweet dessert - lemon and Raspberry cheesecake. Beverages ☕ Expresso and drinks Peroni. All this coupled with an excellent table service from professional efficient 👏 . Clean, spacious table / seating arrangements in a restaurant which had fine teak furniture and warm decor to match made this place in my reckoning surely one of the finest in Miller & Carter. If you like your steak, this one here at the Riverhead certainly worth a visit. Rating 10/10 A1. All the best to staff and management, keep up the high standards. Best regards, Chris.

Lovely food, wonderful service and a relaxed atmosphere. We shared the Butcher's block between 2 and it was delicious and generously portioned. Will definitely visit again.

The service was OK, not the most friendliest to start with, but then the service got better as we chatted to lady which served us. The food was also average, my steak which was £33 was really stringy and hard to cut through. Given I had it cooked medium rare. The restaurant is utterly disgusting! You should be ashamed of yourselves, your restaurant is not the cheapest and a certain level is expected when spending that amount of money. The carpets were disgusting, you could see the stains in them, it was like being in an old nightclub, The paint was pealing off the ceiling above where people were eating where you had a leak about 6 months ago and it has never been repaired, the steps on the stairs were filthy, they can not have been cleaned for months, and this was just in the general areas. Where we sat, the table top was scratched to death, not great to be looking at whilst eating. The wall next to me had a stain from where a drink had been spilt on it and not cleaned, clearly visible, just not cleaned, The skirting was utterly disgusting, never been cleaned EVER. The walls in general had food and drink stains all over them. I honestly can not tell you how bad it was. I have pictures to prove this also. I spoke to the manager at the end of the meal and he totally agreed with me but basically said little he could do as there was little budget available. I would never eat there again

Visited today for lunch with the family and the meals were good for the price. Service could be quicker considering that the restaurant wasn't full. Including drinks we paid around 60£ therefore not the cheapest alternative but could have been much more if we chose steak (extra 5 including a sauce) or dine in the evening.

It was nice, but was my meal alone worth the 43 price tag ? No..The onionoaf didn't takes fresh the salad was just iceberg lettuce & croutons. I'd say £30 max for that..But it was a nice steak & lobster tales.
