Really good food!
There were 6 of us and we had 3 course dinner. Each dish was really good, including desserts. Freshly cooked, good quality, natural flavours, nicely presented and tasted really good. Moreover, digested well afterwards (not like most restaurants eith serving either frozen or reheated foods)
Staff was friendly and service was quick. (Restaurant wasn't busy this Saturday evening)
Would recommend and come back again.

A meal with friends, including a 15 month old child. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food amazing and good value for the excellent quality food served. A fabulous night out in pleasant surroundings. Our first visit. Would definitely go again.

Excellent meal easy to book. Waitress Ellie very pleasant, very attentive, very cheerful, Excellent service. Waiter's Ryan and Nic very pleasant again very cheerful. Excellent service all round. Its nice to see smiling attentive waiters/waitresses where nothing was too much trouble. So happy to recommend the restaurant and its waiters/waitresses. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Went for a meal on a voucher that we had received for a Christmas gift couple years ago that we extended during covid.

We were greeted and dealt with like any other customer, had a young man (Ryan) who looked after us as if we were superstars.

Food itself was fabulous, not a fish person but had to try the haddock, leek and potato starter if nothing else for the experience and wow could not fault it. The steak hache was amazing, and the desert (crumble) mwah

Service 5 star
Food 5 star

Highly recommend you give this a go if you want first class food and service with smiles

Ryan is a credit to the restaurant and the world of service to the customer.

Decided to give this a go last night and wasn’t very impressed at all.

Service was very good, fast and friendly which was a positive.

Starter was good, we both had steaks for the main meal.

I had the 10oz rib eye as I didn’t think the 6oz fillet would fill me up very much (I’m not a large guy) this had an unusual amount of fat on it. The price I paid i was very dissatisfied with the quality. There was no discount when I mentioned this to the waitress, she just replied with the rib eye contains more fat than the fillet which was a little patronising in my opinion.

We shared a dessert which was ok.

Would I go back…not a chance!

We visited for afternoon tea. The food looked appealing but it sadly wasn't anything special. The sandwiches had little filling and could have been made with value range bread. The cakes appeared factory made and had poor taste and texture. The scone however was enjoyable and the tea was plentiful.

Due to the location of the hotel there are no views to detract from very average food.

Sadly, I would not recommend afternoon tea at this venue.

Went for Sunday lunch as a trial experience, overall above average but not as good as it should be hence the 4*.
The restaurant is modern, well spaced and open but with dividers for sound reduction and a more private feel. The tables were cleaned well after guests departed but like far too many other places the floors are ignored until the end of the day - not nice when you look down or need to place a bag on the floor and all you can see is bits of food… another fault is the walls near the tables, in some places they have become splashed with drink/food/other from the table and stained with grease etc. Why are the walls not painted in wipe down waterproof paint! The damaged areas are well bad and ruin the feel of the restaurant, also housekeeping needs to check the light fixtures for cobwebs…
The food was good and hot, my wife’s pork very good (no crackling:(), my beef was very tasty but not really enough once I had taken out the sections of gristle that is common in sirloin.
We will be back but not in a rush.
